Road-Ready Cargo Beast
This hitch is like adding an extra set of muscles to your rig—solid, no-nonsense support that makes hauling feel downright effortless. I slid my old rack off and clicked this one in seconds, and right away I could tell it wasn’t messing around. Whether I’m carting lumber, bikes, or a mountain of camping gear, it stays rock-steady with zero wobble. What really sells it is the build quality—thick steel, flawless welds, and a finish that laughs off scratches and rust. Even after a mud-caked weekend in the backwoods, a quick rinse and it looks good as new. And sizing is spot-on, so you don’t waste time fiddling with fits or second-guessing your setup. If you need a hitch you can trust on every trip, this thing’s your go-to workhorse.

Good value
I used this carrier to haul my fishing cart as it has become difficult for me to lift it into my truck and it took up room inside. Well made, lightweight and was able to assemble by myself in about 1 hour. Box was a bit damaged from shipping but no damage to the carrier. All parts were included and instructions were pretty good. The size was a perfect fit for my cart and when the ramp is down, I can still access the back of my truck. It was a bit more than what I wanted to spend but now that it is in operation, works great and is a major help on my frequent fishing trips.

Works well for snowblower
First off, you CAN make this so the ramp goes on the drivers side, which if you're moving a snowblower is what you want to do. Trying to load or unload into the snowbank on the side of the road is a bad idea. Also as someone else mentioned you should go buy two clevis pins and replace the bottom bolts in the ramp with them, now the ramp will fold nearly flat by removing the bottom pins and folding it on the top pins. Pros: Quite sturdy, though I wouldn't stand on it while loading anything. Assembly means you can put it together the way you like. Pretty light. Cons: The box was so full of aluminum filings it was mind boggling. Aluminum burrs across all metal surfaces that were drilled. Box contents were almost enough to build it (box was short a couple of bolts and a few were the wrong ones), instructions are a joke. Technically says "Max speed 55 MPH" but seemed unphased with a snowblower on it doing 70 on the interstate. Tie down eye bolts are flimsy at best. Takes an eternity to bolt together (over 75 small bolts to assemble). I know the cons list is longer than the pros list but it does the job with minimal fuss and the price is right. I have it on the back of a full size truck.

Rock Solid
Sometimes you make a good buy and sometimes you don't. Sometimes you make an EXCELLENT buy and I rate my MAXXHAUL 80799 as one of those! I researched this purchase hard before pulling the trigger because I knew it would be very hard to return. I have loved this carrier ever since I finished the (somewhat tedious) job of assembling it. I originally bought this carrier because I have a very long driveway and I have to get multiple garbage bins out to the street every Sunday night and back to the house every Monday morning. Walking those bins out was a nonstarter! I wanted/needed the ramp so that I didn't have to lift anything up onto the carrier platform. This product has exceeded all expectations in that regard. A few hacks: I have not affixed the ramp permanently; like other reviewers have suggested, I bought longer cotter pins from Home Depot and I simply insert those when I need to attach the ramp. (Note: attaching the ramp to the carrier AFTER inserting the carrier into my car hitch receiver makes it much easier for me (70 years old) to lift the carrier up for installation. And, obviously, taking the ramp off before removing the platform, makes it much easier to remove.) Using the longer cotter pins makes it super easy to attach and detach the ramp. After several months of successful use of the carrier for the 100 yard trip up and down my driveway, I decided to give the carrier its FINAL EXAM. My girlfriend and I have just returned from a 15-day, 11 state, 3,500 mile road trip and the cargo carrier rode the Interstate Highways at 85 mph like a freaking champ. Of course, I bolted down HARD the anti-wobble plate for that trip (I don't use the plate when I'm on my driveway). We packed all sorts of stuff on the carrier and secured it all quite simply using bungie cords that looped through the 4 metal eye-hole loops that screw on to the carrier platform. I super strongly recommend this product.

Needed a lift for my snow thrower
I got this particular carrier because it was lighter weight. I have a small-ish car (Subaru Crosstrek) with a tow package. I needed to use a reducer (MaxxHaul). Took a couple hours to put it all together, but it was easy to do. I used this to take a snow thrower in for service. (Not long distance) Worked great. Highly recommend.

This is Excellent Kit. It is easy to hook up . I have been using this rig now for 4 years to bring my snowblower wherever I need to. Excellent Value for the money even though I see the price has increased almost $100 but still Excellent Value for the money. I am really pleased with this purchase and have saved enough by having it to pay for it.

This carrier has changed my life. It is now fitted to my motorhome and carries my mobility scooter. It is so simple to lower the ramp, load the scooter, and secure it. When I get where I'm going, reverse the process and I am off to explore. It was decided to weld the carrier to the vehicle for more stability than the hitch mount but that was a personal choice. It is solid and secure without too much additional weight. I would recommend this for anyone needing to transport a scooter.

This is a great product. Often times when ordering a product like this online, you are unable to put your hands on the product to feel the fit and finish of the work. This product is well cut, easy to assemble and unlike other sheet metal products that require assembly the parts were smooth and free from burrs and or sharp edges. I am using this ramp on my F150 to transport my snowblower to clear driveways. This ramp does not clog with snow, the pins for the ramp are easy to maneuver with gloves on. The height of the ramp from the ground has made loading and unloading the snowblower a breeze.

I got someone’s returned item which is fine because I got a huge discount from amazonwarehouse deals. It was a bit scratched up and dented. Who cares? All the pieces were there. The big pieces are riveted together well. Assembly is easy but may be time consuming. There is just the one image in the manual but it’s all common sense to install. Reverse the diagram if you want the ramp on the other side. I used it to move around a 200 lb snowblower. It easily handles the load. I reversed the snowblower up the ramp so the handle would be out of the way of the ramp. The aluminium boards did not bend or buckle. However, I would not put 500 lbs on that. Something might break if you hit a big pot hole and your load bounces up and down. I wish the hitch went deeper into the receiver to minimize the torque on the hitch shaft. I’m going to drill another lock hole in the hitch shaft so that I can push it in another 4-5 inches for better stability. It’s a easy one man job to install or remove the carrier. It’s fairly light weight. The ramp does not fold into the carrier. I remove it for storage. The anti rattle device that I received was not the one pictured, however it works well and keeps the hitch shaft from moving in the receiver. I’m not sure that I’d have paid full price for this but it’s a great carrier for my purposes.
