This is the second Wood Trick 3 D puzzle hubby has worked on. As always, quick delivery of product, complicated enough to keep an adult intrigued, and when completed a very nice display piece. The picture instructions are easy to follow. Would like to suggest that the extra pieces for the truck, the car carrier and tanker, could be available to be purchased separately on their own. Hubby would like to be able to build both but at present they are only being sold with another purchase of the truck.

I like big rigs and have played with many lego models, 3D metal models, and 3D plastic models. It is safe to say that wood toy is the best compared to the other alternative. It is hard to assemble compared to lego but way more fun to get in the assembly process due to additional tooling and handling in detail, feels like really doing the modeling. It is similar slightly more difficult than plastic ones, but more pleasant without the smell of glue. May be similar to metal ones, but it is less frustrating and less fragile compared to metal ones. Despite the lack of really mimicking every detail in scale like the plastic ones, the details are no less and essences are there: engine, gearbox, steering, dashboard, etc. Would definitely recommend this woodwork to model lovers. One important lesson learned: the assembly guideline (not the main assembly book on steps) is not in English. Do overlook that. May details are discussed there, such as how to polish the gears, and edges, as well as the size of the rubber bands, to use, etc. For this rig, I did not get to have the spring drive moving part which I think is due to the lack of proper polishing.
