Perfect food for me!
I got the plain salted seeds, since I like to eat as "cleanly" as I can, and I absolutely LOVE them! I've been looking for a high protein snack to travel with that's easy to carry and eat, and is also not loaded with fat (like nuts) and/or carbs, and these fit the bill. A palmful (1 oz) is a quick balanced snack, ie 9 g fat, 9 g carbs, and 8 g protein. Maybe a little heavier in fat than we gals would like, but it's "good" fat, and it keeps you full until your next meal. Flavor: I think they're delicious and have the perfect crunch (I had been eating dried edamame, but they are very hard, dry your mouth as you chew them, and not particularly tasty - though I love fresh edamame). Some people seem to not be crazy about the Inca seeds' taste, but I really like it: I might describe the plain salted seeds' flavor as being nutty, with perhaps a hint of "fresh grass" taste at first that fades as you keep eating. I found the taste refreshing and a reminder that it's "real food."

These are a huge go-to snack sometimes bubble guts.
These are one of my fav nuts besides now the jungle peanuts is up there but way more expensive. I love these because they are so high in protein ! +Texture - the texture of these nuts is as if a macadamian nut was super dry and less oily in my opinion as of it had been completely removed of oil. I do not know how to describe it because it is unlike any other nut or seed to me . The crunch is kind of crispy in a non fried way. +Taste - I read the ingredients on the other flavors and I am sticking with this spicy one it doesn't have any sweatners and I do like the flavor it is MILD very mild +Digestion - when I first ate these seeds a month or two ago I got a big healing of them and had to( š„“ RUN TO THE BATHROOM š® My husband also experienced that as well) There was an acquiring of the seeds in my tummy my body had to get used to them so I ate a little at a time each time I snacked . Once that happened I was hooked These are one out of the three snacks/foods I have on subscribe and save . High protein snacks and fewer ingredients than the protein snacks I usually go for. update - After a few months of subscribe and save I noticed an inconsistency with the seasoning of this one. I only have purchased "spicy" flavor which has about -1 spice level for me it's kind of savory. With the inconsistency of the flavor I would almost take it down a point but i'm going to leave it because i' may be getting more that do have flavor. I also noticed that once my body adjusted to eating the seeds, it could unadjust as well and after I had stoped eating these for a while because of the flavor I started trying them again and the bubble guts came back!!! With all that being said I took them off of my subscribe and save for a while. We shall see if they come back.

Not for me
I read a lot about this product before I ordered it. Reviews were positive regarding the benefits, taste and health safety. I acquired Sweet and spicy version. Taste was earthy tasting is all I can describe. Earthy as in eating mud or sand, mixed with a tree bark. It was awful, I didnāt taste any of the seasoning. I m could not stand the taste. I have a cast iron stomach but I have met my match. About an hour and half of ingesting an unspecified amount (likely greater than one serving), I had massive gas, bloating and severe painful cramps. Needless to say, I wonāt eating the rest. Not a fan.

I love trying new thingsā¦
If you have already tried and like the taste of inca nuts, this is undoubtedly a great source for them. fresh, well prepped, nice seasoning and super healthy. If I were only reviewing the brand I would give 5 stars for a quality product. And I can see where some people may be able to develop a taste for them. If you routinely drink grass juice or enjoy snacking on crisped seaweed, these might be an excellent way to your increase protein intake. I, however, after trying these for the first time agree with other commenters that inca nuts ātaste like earthā. To clarify, I donāt mean āearthyā in the sense of dark coffee or dark chocolate or anything else edible with tannins. Rather, āearth-flavoredā like munching a handful of nutrient-rich soil. Was worth a shot though, always good to try new things.

Nut Allergies? No Worry, Inca Seeds to the Rescue!!!
The best crunchy healthy protein treat for those like me who are allergic to nuts. I make "butter" with it for recipes, and eat small handfuls to get me to the next meal. I sprinkle them on yogurt or cottage cheese. I used to love nuts but can't eat them any more. These seeds are crunchy and tasty and have filled the gap!
