Cake Beauty Gel-to-Foam Styler, The Curl Friend – Volumizing & High Hold Gel ...

Of course I bought it because of the name and that is pink. This gel to foam is a great go to, very wet for a gel but I don't mind it means it's getting on every hair stand. Nice hold but not stiff like traditional gels. I love the smell, sweet lemony smell but docent over power or stay all day. I have super frizzy curly hair the cake works. doesn't leave a heavy coat on the hair, just a nice hold.

The smell is wonderful, but it seems to be a little soft for my wavy hair. It makes my curls shiny, and it seems to have a high amount of moisture. May be better for someone with real curls and not just waves.

I have used this for two days and I love it so far! It makes my hair super soft and smells like lemon meringue. I've also noticed my curls are tighter when fully dry. My hair has been growing thicker recently and it holds them pretty well all day!

I truly loved the smooth texture and the curl definition from this foam/gel. However, I Absolutely Could not stand the SUPER STRONG, LINGERING LEMON PLEGDE SMELL. I added essential oils (authentic cocoa, & Coconut cream) to give the dessert like scent that I read over & over in the comments. To my dismay, the oils changed the consistency and I lost the thick creamy foam that I enjoyed. Yet the results were still good and the lemon scent is muffled. I hope the manufacturer sees this and brings the vanilla back, or tone down the lemonade lemonny snickers please. I would like to continue use without smelling like someone's housekeeper (no offense)

Hands down the best hair gel I’ve ever used! This has helped my curls more than any other product. A little bit goes a long way and it gives me next to perfect soft curls every time!

I purchased this because a creator on TikTok recommended it, and I've purchased other products from this brand. Honestly I wasn't a fan of the curl jelly or curl cream at first, but I've since changed my mind. I think this is supposed to be a "dupe" for the Verb foam gel, but Cake Beauty's is so much better and affordable. First, I wasn't a fan of the scent from the other products which is why i held off on buying this, but it actually smells good, not too strong or bad at all. Second, the hold is really good, especially if it's paired with other products (curl cream, and light hold jelly). Third, it foams well, and its lightweight, not watery at all. Even though it isn't watery, I actually have to scrunch out water from my hair before applying. And lastly, my curls are defined and last all day. This is also a good product for next day refresh!

My daughter's hair is coily and very thick! This product works really well on her hair helping with frizz and overall control. It does not weigh her hair down or leave any residue which I mostly love about this product. She likes the smell and tells me how soft her hair feels after applying! So far each time we have used this product, it holds her hair for 2-3 days.

This product could do no wrong!!! It smells great, but not overly strong. It has amazing hold and provides a perfect cast that softens up perfectly when you scrunch it out. I’ve been working on figuring out my curl routine for over a year now and this is the first product that has consistently never let me down. It’s a staple in my routine when I want my hair to look its best. My hair is somewhere between a 2B and 3A depending on how it wants to behave (I stg it’s different every other week)

I AM OBSESSED!! My hair is quite thick, more wavy than curly and I have struggled to find a product that doesn’t make my hair feel too heavy, weighs it down or creates stringy strands. My wave/curl type for styling purposes can’t be brushed when wet, only before I shower. The only one I have found that worked previous Kristen Ess Curl Defining Jelly, however this one takes the CAKE. My hair is sooo soft and fluffy but the hold is exceptional. The product holds the curl pattern when first applied - without being heavy enough to weigh it down, as it dries the hold then softens to create super soft hair!!! The scent is also wonderful. I hate strong smells but it’s so light but refreshing. I literally bought it this morning and used it right after work. Hands down AMAZING!!!!

This smells amazing. However it did not hold my curls at all. It’s definitely a light hold product, I have curly/wavy hair but definitely need a much stronger hold product for my hair. This did however leave my hair feeling soft when dry and not crunchy but my hair was frizzy pretty quickly.

This product has a pleasant smell that isn’t too overpowering. I found that it was lightweight and didn’t weigh down my 2C curly hair. It has good hold on the first day but didn’t last throughout the week. Didn’t have a gel cast either so I’m not sure about the claim that it goes from mousse to gel. Good for looser curls

I wasn’t expecting much, but given the amount of leave in conditioner I gotta use (Toronto humidity is no joke) this gel to foam is super good! I have 2C/3A hair btw! It also doesn’t leave any sticky feeling to my hair, just leaves it nice and shiny!!! Excuse the messy photos my hair wasn’t perfect since I was in a rush but it worked super well!!! Only issue is that the smell can trigger a headache but its not unpleasant, I’m simply sensitive
