This is a quality gaming pad, however it was too slick for my needs. I use a Darmoshark M5 Pro, with finger tip style grip. To compare it to the Artisan FX Zero Soft, Zero has more control and is very smooth. It could still use a tad bit more control however. On the other hand a pad like QingSui 2 Pro Plus has too much control for my needs but it's high quality and only $19.99. SteelSeries QcK Classic was too slick and the pad was too thin. Other pads I will try next: Artisan FX Zero XSOFT The Mouse Pad Co. Duraglyde and Stableglyde (when restocked) SteelSeries Performance Control I also wish they made smaller sized pads. Not everyone needs these huge pads for gaming. Around 12 x 12 in. is perfect for my needs. For reference the Artisan FX Zero Medium is 12 x 9 in.

Pros: -Does not feel like a mud pad, which I felt the first edition of the Rouge (released in '22) did. -Superb design. -The new base is perfect; the pad does not move around at all on the desk. -Plush, smooth. -Durability has been excellent. Zowie has made this the primary selling point of this pad, and rightfully so. Cons: -There aren't too many to list. I do believe that the G-SR-SE Bi (first edition, not II) is still better in terms of performance. Zowie has spoken with reviewers before and the G-SR-SE Rouge variants feel slightly different than the Bi edition due to the paint applied. -The pad feels slightly fuzzy, whereas the older editions of the pad, such as the Deep Blue & Tyloo variants, had a more textured surface. Performance remains similar.

Coming from the Steelseries QCK+ I wasn’t sure how this compares. The stopping power on this pad is incredible and I have definitely improved hitting my shots. I’ve had the pad for a few months now and it’s been great! It’s easy to keep clean and the rubber base has been good at keeping the pad steady.

The ZOWIE H-SR-III is exactly what you expect from ZOWIE: no gimmicks, just performance. The rubber base grips firmly to the desk and keeps the pad in place. Comfort is excellent too — soft enough for long hours without irritation. What I appreciate most is the consistency: every swipe feels the same, which is crucial for competitive FPS gaming. If you’re serious about precision and reliability, the H-SR-III is a fantastic choice.
