I keep some keys and a pocketknife on this attached to my backpack. In the month it’s been on there it has never fallen off even with the rough treatment. From back to car to floor the keys don’t move. You could hang a 10 pound weight off the ring and it stays in place if your MOLLE is stitched well.But with a simple tug on the tab the magnetic latch tilts and it just lets go of the clip and you have the keys. It’s an elegant design that is simple to attach and use. When pulling from the d ring it will bind against itself and not let go no matter the direction you pull. That angle of tension applies a force to lock it more securely in place. But the top tab allows it to fall out and into your hand.I’m still not sure about putting car and house keys on, but work key fob and tools are easily replaced. If it holds up another 3 months I’ll trust it enough to add more valuable items to it

I have a number of these accessories from Alpaka in their Hub ecosystem but this one is my favorite so far. I like it because it's so small compared to the carabiner version and the MOLLE clip works well and provides a sturdy attachment point. I also really like how the magnet seats itself back in the clip and find they're just fun in general to use. It's also easy to swap between bags and overall, while not the best value, it's a quality piece and a really nice addition to the ecosystem.

Expensive. Bought it because I didn’t want to leave my alpaka bag straps with no use. Not as useful

Excellent clip that can be attached to a backpack or another strap that has a very unique quick release. You can tug all over on this thing, but unless you correctly pull on the little strap, it's not going to release.My only real gripe is that the clip on the back that keeps it attached to you as a whole is made of plastic / polymer and I'm not certain what the longevity / strength of this material is like. Some polymer brands are amazing, but unless you're among these name brands, I'd have preferred aluminum.All around it's been incredibly useful.
