Trimmer Tux (Ninja)

I liked the way the silicone cover fit so snugly on my trimmer. I have found a couple ideas that may be helpful to others about to buy one or replace one. When putting a new cover on my trimmer I wet a finger and moistened the trimmer and easily slipped the cover onto the trimmer. Don’t use a too much water. This way there wasn’t any stretching of the cover as I put it on. Another idea you might find helpful is using a very soft brush to remove the hair after shaving. I’m wondering if these covers might be made a little thicker because the cover may stretch with use and also stretch when being removed for replacement, however added thickness could make it harder or impossible to put the cover on. As it is the cover grips the trimmer very well and feels very comfortable. I was always concerned about dropping the trimmer but no longer because of the excellent firm grip. I forgot to mention that by moistening the trimmer slightly as I was putting the cover on I experienced absolutely no stretching of the cover. I like this trimmer cover so much that I’m going to purchase a few more just in case it stretches through use. I’m also curious about other colors. Lastly the trimmer always tended to get too warm before I got the cover but now feeling the heat is no longer a problem.

Really nice - and smart invention. I bought this for personal use. The screws that hold the cover of my trimmer on fell out somehow (likely due to vibration) and so I had just wrapped some duct tape around it. (duct tape will fix anything right!?!) Came across the TUX and decided to give it try. In addition to making so the screws won't fall out again, the TUX adds a layer of comfort and security as it gives you additional grip on the trimmers. This is a really good product -- well thought out and well worth the money.

First off, I'm not sure what trimmers the people who report a sloppy fit are using, this thing fits like a glove on an Andis T-Outliner. Some people state it's difficult to put on. I can see that... I turned it inside out, ran it up the cord, lined up the cutout with the cord plate and just rolled it onto the trimmer like a condom. Easy and a perfect fit!! The only negative comment I have about this Trimmer Tux is that it is a hair magnet! I'm not talking about some weak plaything magnet... I'm talking about a powerful, industrial grade MAGNET... the kind of magnet they lift cars with! If there was a way to get the hair to quit sticking to it, or even if it was easy to wipe the hair off of it, I'd be much happier with the product. It's good, it fits, it does everything it says it does... they just don't tell you about the secret embedded hair magnets.

This really improved my comfort level by giving me a much better grip with no more slipping and also helps to insulate when the clippers run hot.

It definitely keeps some of the heat off of your hands, but I'm not sure that it'd actually offer any protection during a fall. The silicon they use also seems to make hair stick to it. When I clean the blade between cuts I also take the time to brush off the grip to try and keep the hair accumulation to a minimum.

Garbage, does not fit correctly. Way too big for trimmer!
