Great Alternative to $400 trainer
Terrific trainer for my 10-year-old son. It is a great alternative to paying for hundred dollars her training knife. The fit and finish of the screws performance and ease of use are terrific. It has performed well beyond its price. The materials and metals and screws all fit nicely. The safety of this trainer is unparalleled due to its lack of sharpness.

Fun and durable
No problems with durability other than it might get loose and you can just tighten it, but its a really nice design.

A little stiff
It was a little stiff out of the box. But it is high quality and works well after some breaking in.

Cool and safe
When my son showed me this and asked me to buy it, I was a bit worried that it was safe. He is 11, and plays with it all the time! He loves it, so far no accidents, it's metal but not heavy and no sharp points. I wouldn't have bought it if he was 10 or younger

Decent, but needs work.
So instead of crying like a baby at how it broke apart in 3 days, I'm going to give an explanation. When I ordered it, it was amazing right out of the box. It was a little squeaky and stiff, but a spray of WD-40 fixed that. I spent most of my day using this and trained for hours on end. I really started to get the hang of it. I then started to learn more aggressive tricks that would put a strain on the screws. It then slowly fell apart on the 3rd day of use (about 20 hours of use). So, IMO this is REALLY good for helping beginners like me get a feel for balisongs and learn some basic tricks, but as soon as you start getting into the intermediate levels, it will deteriorate pretty easily. If you want to become a balisong hobbyist and start doing tricks that get really aggressive than you might wanna look at the higher quality trainers. However, if you are getting this for your 12 year old who barely knows how to hold it, you will probably be fine.

Very fragile and cheap
It was fun for about a week and then screws started falling out. I ended up throwing it away in a month

You get what you pay for...
Was cheap so thought I’d give it a try. Was to stiff to use out of the box. After an hour of working with it and some WD40 I got it to move smooth enough. Broke after a couple days. Helped me get the basic movement down though.
