fun!
My teenager tested it and said “okay, that was too much fun” and said he has dibs if there’s ever a water soaker fight. That’s saying a lot considering he grew up with a decent super soaker I bought from a different country, since Nerf no longer produces the style that was popular in the 90s. I’m glad there’s a decent option easily available again. With this, you hook up a refill port to your hose and press the nozzle into the port to refill the soaker. It does leak water out the side but it’s a pressure relief thing. It has a high pressure blast each time you pull the trigger - you get about 17 shots before it needs to be refilled. It isn’t a continuous stream but it makes up for that with distance, he was easily able to hit second story windows from a distance.I like that you don’t have to turn the hose on and off to use it… when my kids and the neighbor kids would play with super soakers I would have to listen for the second set of loud squeaks to make sure the water was turned all the way off. It’s also a lot faster and easier for the kids since they don’t need to twist a tank off or try to get a valve back on just right. If they’re refilling every couple minutes this is better for everyone.

Great first impression
Bought this to add to our water gun arsenal for when my school age nephews visit. It isn't warm enough for water fights quite yet, so we haven’t fully tested it, but first impressions are great. Refill from the hose is super convenient, and it even comes with a quick connect for the hose— nice touch. Also has overfill protection so it can't be over-pressurized. Will update once we've put it through a proper backyard battle, but so far, it looks like a winner. The kids are excited to try it!Update:We had our first big water fight of the summer a few days ago and it was a hit. The capacity isn't huge, but it refills VERY quickly, which made up for it. We had to take turns because everyone wanted to use it. The only complaint is that it needs quite a bit of water pressure to refill. We had a splitter on the spigot so we could use this refill base and a plain standard hose at the same time, and it would only refill when the plain hose was was off. No big deal, we had a quick shut off valve on the splitter, but worth mentioning.

Fun powerful gun with easy reload
We let our kids stay up as late as they want when it's not a school night. Parents of the year, I know. Anyway, we discovered a package outside our door around midnight on Friday night and although our 8 yr old hadn't made it that long, our 11 yr old was up. He was amped about trying this Nerf Supersoaker out so here we are in the backyard at 1 am when it's 56º out in Arizona. He is enthralled with it. It has cool burst action and it's super easy to reload once you get the loader hooked up to your hose. The kid is firing it at random and delighting in the fact that it is the only water gun he's ever used that has recoil. He said "the burst is really cool, it's the closest you can get to a water gun shot gun." So I guess this will be good when it gets hot if it's good when it's not. Recommend for kids who like shooting stuff.

Nerf Super Soaker Power Drench Water Blaster – Ultimate Backyard Water Battle Toy
This Nerf Super Soaker is an absolute blast for water fights! The pressurized blasting gives you some serious power, soaking everyone in sight. The easy fill station is a game-changer—no more waiting forever to fill up the blaster. You just attach the hose, and boom, you're ready to go. Plus, it doesn’t need any batteries, which is always a win. The pulse bursts of water you get with each trigger pull make it even more fun. If you love outdoor games and soaking your friends, this is a must-have for your summer fun! Highly recommend it for kids (or adults) who want to turn up the water battle intensity!

Quirky and inconvenient to use
Filling the gun requires a water hose attached to the adapter. The gun only fires in short squirts. Overall everything works fine but it’s a pain to load and doesn’t shoot streams.

Not "practical"
The media could not be loaded. I titled this not "practical" in quotes because of course it isn't practical - its a toy. But the point stands. The only way to fill this is with the special filling station that connects to a standard hose. There is an internal check valve in the filler so you should be able to leave the hose on, but mine leaks badly. This is a brand new hose with a clean, male connection. It fits my sprayer nozzle with no leaks, so I know it is the filler that leaks. The connection on the filler is plastic, so it is not really possible to try to really torque it down to try to seal.So for us, we really can't leave the hose on. Which means to use this, we need to turn the hose on, fill up, turn the hose off, and then get about 18-20 shots before doing it all again. It does produce a pretty impressive pulse of water. It cannot shoot in streams, only pulses. I also like the ide that it is the hose pressure only that provides the power - no batteries, no pumping. But I just don't know how fun it is to have a blattle with this considering the hassle to fill and refill.

Different but Cool!
I'm used to the pumping style of Super Soaker, so this is a little different, but it works well. It's good quality, perfect size, filling it is simple, fast, and kind of fun in itself, and water pressure is good, especially right away. Definitely a lot of fun, and I'm going to have to get another one so both kids have one, maybe one for me and mom too.
