Is there really a difference between the salt grinder and the pepper grinder other than size? Are they interchangeable?

No, they are not interchangeable. The pepper mill is specifically made to grind pepper and the mechanism is steel. The salt mill has a nylon sleeve that is made to prevent corrosion from the salt. The pepper mills will corrode is you use salt in them.

Is the salt and pepper grinder adjustable for smaller/larger chunks after grinding?

Hello! You are able to adjust the pepper grinder to your preferred size by adjusting the screw on the bottom of the mill. Our salt grinder is non-adjustable.
