Katalox Light Advanced Filter Media for Iron, Manganese and Hydrogen Sulfide Removal - 1 cu.ft

High price due to weight...66 lbs ! Excellent quality water filter replacement media.

We have (had) crazy amount of iron in our well water. Water tasted like drinking blood. Toilets looked like rust buckets. The Katalox media filters it out. I've taken five gallon jugs of water to work and co-workers say I should sell my water! I will definitely keep using Katalox in the future.

did what it was used for. no problems. Why would they ask about sheerness and thickness. It is heavy it is sand.

I bought a house that is on a well. Unfortunately the water has a high hydrogen sulfide content an a terrible smell. The previous owner had installed a back washing oxidizing catalyst filter but didn't seem to know much about it. After doing a ton of research I eventually decided that the medium needed to be replaced but it was extremely hard to figure out what to use. Researching a bunch of medium I finally decided to try the Katalox. At first I was concerned as I had some of the medium coming through my plumbing and the PH was way too high. After some research I learned that this is common at first but stops soon (do your research). After a few months now I can say that I am really amazed at how well it's working. My only problem with this product is that it only comes in the 1cu.ft size. My tank required 1 and 1 half cu.ft so I had to buy an extra half a cu.ft than I needed.

Alot of media probably have enough for the rest of my life. Best iron removing media I have ever seen or used.

Good price and great product. A hard item to find available for the every day consumer.

If you have hard water and sulfur smell, buy something else, I put the cheaper medium in my tank and it lasted 18 months. Tried this media when replacing in October and not even 3 full months and the sulfur smell is getting unbearable. My system flushes every 48 hours.
