it says 6.6" but require a cut out of 8 1/8 which one is correct? is there one which require 6" cutout?

The ACE670 has a speaker diameter of 6.5 inches and requires an 8-1/4 cutout. The ACE870 has a speaker diameter of 8 inches and requires a cutout of 10 inches.

Can I use these in my 5.1 system.. front l/r, back l/r and center?

They are meant to be used more for back l/r, and that's how I'm using them.Probably would work for front l/r, not so good as a center speaker. Primarily because front l/r and center speakers should be at listener's height, not on the ceiling.
