This bag is strong and well-made. It holds a ton of baggage and was much larger than I thought it would be. It is easy to put onto the top of the car but does require sometime and effort to get it secured once it is filled. Its good to know that you cannot secure it until it is filled, which makes sense since it is a bag and not a hard shelled carrier. It rained pretty hard on both my trip down and back and everything remained perfectly dry inside, thanks to the waterproof coating on the bag as well as the thoughtfully-designed and zippering system. I have a Subaru Outback with roof rails but I was still required to use the door latches because the bag was larger than the rails and because I wanted it secured in more places on the sides. Using them was very simple and did not cause any damage to the door seals. Again, it rained both ways on my trip and having the door latches on did not cause the car seals to leak at all. This is a great improvement from the old hard turtle tops which are a huge hassle to put on and store. I would definitely recommend this product

This is 18 days in the making... and this is coming after I have traversed the U.S. from East Coast to West Coast via a rather roundabout route. First off, let's just notice how small it folds up and the little bag it came in! Soooo small and easy to store! Anyway, I am a 36-year-old, 127-lb female who has never had a rooftop carrier of any sort and did this all by myself, so user-friendly! I put it on my 2018 Nissan Rogue, which does NOT have racks, so it was on the roof and attached to the seam inside the doors using the hooks provided. I packed it on top, following directions, except I didn't really clean the top... a couple of days before leaving to make sure it would fit everything I needed it to... Oh boy, it did! This thing is huge! I actually had to figure out more things to put in it. I drove over 4,000 miles at speeds ranging from 0 - 90mph, 80 - 85 mph for long stretches of time. It went through high heat (90 degrees) and near freezing temperatures (35 degrees was the lowest it got, it was frosted). It went through downpour rain, drizzle, extremely high winds (that were physically trying to push my loaded inside and outside SUV off the interstate), and shine... Upon taking it down and opening it in my West Coast garage, it is completely dry inside, everything made it the whole way, nothing is broken or cracked (I truly expected my laundry basket to at least be scratched a little... nope...), it's like these items didn't just travel at all... I am absolutely amazed. My new neighbor, who has a hardtop carrier, helped me get it down (just the two of us) from my roof, and immediately commented on how light it is compared to his. I cannot recommend this more highly! The zipper was flawless, it is 100% waterproof for sure, hardcore tested and true, and yeah, I can't imagine anything this can't travel through after this trip. The straps held the whole way and are STILL just fine. I could absolutely use this again, though, I don't plan on traversing the continent again. Get it!

Our round trip travel time was 8 hours and this cargo carrier did great! Heavy duty materials and nicely made, very durable. Easy to install. Storage capacity was great! It held 2 large and 2 medium suite cases, 6 or 7 carry on size bags, a portable booster high chair, and the gear for our beach trip to include a large foldable baby stroller. This carrier holds a lot if packed properly. The wind noise was way better than we expected, even at 70 mph on the highway. My crossover SUV gets great gas mileage and this carrier did not affect it that much. If you are going on a trip and need the extra storage space, this carrier definitely is the one to get!

Would of given 5 stars but the lock that came with ot didn't work.

We mounted this to the top of a RAV4 and it added a lot of extra cargo space for a cross country trip. The product is well constructed and seems like it will hold up for the long haul. Aside from that, it is easy to fold up and store too. There was no “rain” during the trip so I cannot comment on that, but I felt like if weather presented itself the contents would have stayed dry. The zippers, hardware, and straps seem to be well constructed. It was easy to install on top of the car. The only thing that was a bit of a challenge for us was actually getting the luggage inside the carrier.

I used mine for about a 1600 mile round-trip journey. I like the way the zippers are protected by the material. I like that there's many attachment points to make sure that it is secure. I like that the material is thick and will definitely resist water and even in cold conditions like ice or snow that will be easy to break off ice if it's brittle or brush off snow if it's soft. For the price and the quality it seems justifiably matched. I also purchased a second product from them. Outside of the rooftop carrier, which is just the I forget the proper name larger carrier which I placed in the back of my pick up truck during my journey.

Was in use for 7 days from NC to Puerto Vallarta. Drove through rain, wind, cold, dust & speeds up to 95 MPH. No dust or rain inside. It all remained tight and no shifting. I didn’t have roof racks but nothing shifted or scratched my roof. Highly recommended as there was no wear & tear on this product and I have it to use again.

Took it down to Texas and back to Utah. Stayed very secure. Easy to work the straps. I was able to fit alot of luggage and random things in it! I would not hesitate to recommend this product!
