Assembly - Easy to assemble, but the small screwdriver it comes sith is abnoying to use. I just used my own tools. Materials - Plastic and metal. Honestly, we all know that wood would be nicer. But the use of plastic makes this product cheaper and lightweight. Shape and Structure - Compact. Can be transported easily. The blade is sharp. The pullback is rigid, but feels like it will easy up with repeated use. The blade remains static when pulled away and takes slight pressure to fully pull down. While the mat has easy to use guidelines for quick measurements. There is also a pre-installed guard for safety. After inspection, my assumption is that the screws will need tightening after extended use. But this is typical for all paper cutters. Overall, this is a decent product. I would definitely recommend purchasing this if you work with small scale projects (11 inches or less). Also, it should be noted that not all products are intended to be multi-functional tools. One review complained about not being able to cut through laminate. That is because this product is designed to cut through paper, not plastic. Yes, some paper cutters can cut through laminate. But those are heavy duty ones intended for large, bulky projects. You can still work with laminate (among other appliques) and use this product. But you will need to measure and cut your paper down to size first. Which means you will need a cutting mat, straight edge and an exacto knife (or a steady hand and a pair of scissors) to neatly cut out your laminated prints. This is a compact tool and designed for small batch, small-scale work. The reason I am mentioning this is because there seems to be a misconception in the reviews that lack of multifunctionality equates to cheapness. Secondly, it appears some people don't seem to understand the tier system when it comes to tools. Because they seem to want to cut large batches of paper at a time, and are frustrated that this product will not do that. That is because this product is intended to be used to cut 5-8 pages at a time. To cut thick volumes of 20+ pages at a time requires a heavy duty version. This is no different than if someone were to complain their mini hand drill designed to install curtain brackets can't drill through concrete. It is necessary to consider what the right variety of a tool is needed for different types of projects. I.e. if you want to measure a wall, you don't use a ruler, you use a measuring tape. So, I do encourage you to take a moment and actually consider why you need a paper cutter to begin with. Don't just buy this and then complain about it because it didn't cut a stack of laminated pages. That goes for this product and any other product that you need for your project.

Works well

I purchased the TIANSE Heavy Duty Guillotine Paper Cutter A4 12" for home use. Delivery was fast and it was well packaged. This unit is heavy and well made. The only drawback was the instructions. They were so vague I had to spend a considerable amount of time to figure out how to put it together. Most frustrating was how to raise the blade, it is in the closed or down position when shipped. As another reviewer pointed out the measuring guide seems off. My work around is to mark my cut lines on a scrap top sheet of the paper stack. The blade is sharp so be careful.

I needed a small and not too expensive cutting board to cut plastic styrene stripes.

It was okay product if i put more than 4 pages it dosnt cut of properly but the cotner cutter thing was very good

Well on the second day of use the safety pin sheared off. I continued using it for about another week or two until the welded nut for the book clamp stripped rendering the cutter useless. The material is low quality metal, there were metal shavings all over the inside of the cutter when I went to investigate why the clamp stopped working. It is just a heavy piece of junk. Especially overpriced considering the fact that it's garbage. And obviously because the product itself is not designed correctly to the point where general use of the machine caused it to break, But obviously it wasn't the best product to begin with. Difficult to keep books squared even when clamped. I wouldn't even use it again for free

Sobald man mehr als eine Seite nimmt franst es unten aus. So das man wenn man Glück hat nachschneiden kann bzw. muss. Der ecken rund Macher ist einfach toll zwar auch nicht scharf macht aber was es soll. Würde das nächste mal lieber etwas mehr Geld ausgeben dafür hab ich dann einen scharfen der hier ist Schrott

Leider keine gute Schneide. Das Messer wackelt hin und her. Kein einziges Blatt wurde gerade geschnitten. Auch für 20€ eine große Enttäuschung

Ne recommande pas pour des papiers trop epais mais sur du papier classique a imprimante ca coupe mais pas net…la lame ne semble pas assez aiguisée

I used the item to cut papers. It works good. I find that the unit is not heavy enough, and the plastic holder not holding too many papers. However, I am satisfied with it's performance.

Légèrement déçus la poignée deviens Louise très vite et fait beaucoup de bruit lors de la coupe.
