Another welcome addition to the X-Plus Univeral Monster line
Another fine Universal monster kit from X-Plus. Overall detail is excellent. My only complaint with many of X-Plus's model kits is they break some things down into too many parts. In this case it's the Bride's head. 6 pieces! I don't think they understand that the challenge with these models is the painting, not the assembly. I have other X-Plus models (Revenge of the Creature comes to mind) where each arm and leg consisted of 4 parts. This just creates extra seams which need to be puttied. And I wish they would put a little more effort into the bases. The Bride is okay, but The Creature, The Mummy's Tomb, and Bela Lugosi as Dracula appear to be minimal efforts. As for the Rhedosaurus, while the lighthouse was well done the rocky base was totally non-descript. Back to the Bride. As well as the gowned figure, you also get one swathed in bandages. And for those of you who like to add some LED lighting, I was able to fit 16 lights into the Bride (with gown). The Mummy's Tomb is another good one for LEDs with its clear plastic fire. One last comment. I don't if others have noticed, but whatever polymer they're using in model kits today (and I'm not just talking about X-Plus), is softer and neither enamel nor acrylic paints adhere well. Part of the problem might be due to the absence of lead in paint, but this is certainly not the same plastic used by Aurora and others in the "old days".

Great kit from X-plus
Great model with awesome details. Not for the beginner. Highly detailed.

Great detail. Confusing instructions.
Great model when finished. Fun to paint and assemble. I am not a pro so I had a hard time fitting pieces together on some areas. And the instructions are a little confusing when putting the back of the table together. See picture. I had to look at actual pictures online to see how the back of the table fit together. Also once you put the base and table together the Bride in the dress won't fit so she has to put put in before the base and table are assembled. But I would recommend it and I'm planning on getting the other X-Plus monster kits.

XPlus Bride of Frankenstein
Highly detailed and incredible fit. This kit goes together easily and you can make two versions of the Bride to take turns displaying on the highly detailed base. Highly recommended!
