The perfect mason jar pour lid
I absolutely love these. They are leakproof, stainless steel, and easy to pour with the handle. They have a silicone ring that helps seal it, the lid is easy to clean, and it stores well in my drawer. I think the quality for the price is amazing. I have used them on my half-gallon mason jars for iced tea, fresh juice, and fresh milk. The lid clicks back so that when pouring, it keeps it from swinging forward and closing. My only complaint is that the pour spout isn't as smooth as I'd like it. I would love to use it as a water bottle if it were, since I can do that comfortably with the BPA-free lids. Otherwise, this lid works perfectly and does its job as intended.

Sturdier than they look
I found a source for real cows milk a couple of months ago and the lady uses half gallon Mason jars. These lids are the best thing ever! Don't leak while your shaking the cream up in the milk and are very easy to clean. I thought the price was really good also. Very easy to use and look good too.

Good Mason Jar Lid/Pour Spout but with Two Design Flaws
Overall this is a good pour spout lid for the wide mouth mason jars. There are two design flaws that if fixed would make this a 5-star review, which I will detail at the end. We have been using two of them (rotating) for our cold brew coffee. They have been washed multiple times in the dishwasher and have held up. They seal very well using a silicone ring and the spout seal is solid. The first design flaw is the handle. It is a little thin, causing it to flex. The second is the connection between the handle and the lid is a little weak. With the weight of a full wide mouth jar, one of mine broke at the lid. Fortunately it did not drop on the floor and shatter. This was after regular use for about 7 months. This design flaw also carries over to the comfort when removing the lid. The thin handle is somewhat “sharp” when your hand is against it trying to remove the top. It seals very well and removing the lid takes some effort. Thickening the handle and strengthening the handle/lid connection would improve this product dramatically. The lip of the pour spout is also “sharp”, but this doesn’t really affect functionality unless you are trying to drink directly from it. Going to buy another one to replace my broken one since this is about the only stainless steel one I could find.

Good value
Works great on any mason jar. Leak-proof and great quality. Easy to clean and solves the problem of spilling liquids while trying to pour from a jar. Nice sturdy handle too

Dissapointed, but Undaunted
I really wanted this to work. A stainless steel wide mouth pour top for a glass jar is a really good idea. The plastic versions aren't worth the money. But my beef is that the gauge of the metal is way too thin. It doesn't fit well on the jar, because it can't hold it's shape, and the silicon seal is thin and oddly made to accommodate the thin metal inner lip. It doesn't seal all that well because it moves around. So the top doesn't fit the jar well and leaks, the very thing it was bought to prevent. Note: I'm using a standard wide mouth Ball jar. I won't need to return these because I have replaced the seal with a wider - thicker version. I'll eventually design a better seal and make what I need. Yes I'm one of THOSE guys. Sadly, I won't be buying any more of these tops. To the manufacturer: Heavier gauge metal, thick flat seal. Threading must easily screw on to the jar and align properly. I look forward to version two.

Crying over spilled milk
I wanted to like these metal pitcher spouts but after using them for 3 months and really trying to get used to their quirks, I can’t recommend them. I can’t tolerate all of the issues involved in using them, they are too fiddly, too difficult and very annoying. We get milk in glass two quart bottles and I wanted to avoid plastic pitcher spouts, these fit that requirement while also looking nice enough. We have one plastic pitcher spout from Country Line Kitchen (came with mason jar & expensive) that is excellent but I was trying to avoid more plastic and I needed another spout (but not another bottle) so I could rotate them among our milk bottles more easily. Initially I (my husband even more) wanted to send them back because the handle felt flimsy. It’s not flimsy, it’s welded on sturdily enough but it has some give/movement in the handle which when pouring is off putting and ultimately helped me spill 2 entire quarts of milk all over the table, chairs (yes padded ugh) and newly mopped floor. The handle did not break, but because of the movement it was difficult to notice that the top wasn’t threaded on the bottle properly which is actually really hard to do with these spouts. Attention has to be paid while doing it with multiple attempts, checking every rotation. It’s frustrating and not easy to do with a busy household and toddler kitchen chaos. And yes I do know how to screw (ha!) things on-but if you don’t believe me go ahead, order them, and you can find out how good you are at screwing on the spouts. You’ve been warned. There are other issues if you need to read further to make your decision: the gasket on the inside is difficult to work with, there is a right and wrong way and it will leak if not put on correctly, which means if you want the inside of your fridge to stay clean, you have to take it off and flip the plastic gasket over and then try to rethread the top on properly again. Are we having fun yet? And then there is the top grey gasket for the spout. It is removable for cleaning which is good but it is flimsy and one of mine ripped, which while it didn’t affect the use, it did look unsightly. And one more thing about the spout, it would dribble slightly which means it always needs a wipe after every pour, (try explaining that to your dear husband, and mine is generally a very clean person) or it will run down the bottle and collect on the table and bottom of the fridge. So plastic it is! Bring on the endocrine disruption, if it keeps me from spending a half day cleaning up spilled milk. No more crying.
