Android Auto on Indian Challenger
This is complex but easy for Indian Challenger Car Play. I use Android Auto on my bike which only has CarPlay.1. Leave the bike off.2. Plug in the Ottocast to the USB in the right glove box.3. Turn on a bluetooth earbud or headset.4. Turn on the bike power (not engine)(Disable auto powerdown on the bike)5. If not done already, pair earbud/headset(Must do to pacify Indian Car Play)6. Turn on phone bluetooth and pair with Ottocast. You should see an Android logo splash across the bike screen and shortly after another screen comes up temporarily. I do nothing and the bluetooth starts connecting. You're done. After riding that when I shut my bike power off for more than 10 minutes, my earbud shuts off for power saving. (Yours may or may not)Starting back up I turn the bike back on and turn my earbud back on and the bike goes back into starting Android Auto. I don't wear a helmet personally so I just keep my earbud near the case in a bag in my saddle bag.I hope this helps because I haven't seen many full procedures for Indian connectivity.Glitch wise: I have had the music stop while riding. It did not effect my ride but the bike needs to restart/resetting the connection loss. I think this is an Indian software issue though because my bike did this just with the phone bluetoothed to the bike.It would be better if Indian would come with either Android or Apple to start rather than just Apple.Safe travels all! 👇

Crackling Static White Noise - No Support
The media could not be loaded. This product deserves less than zero stars if that were an option-it's an absolute disaster. I bought two Ottocast Play2Video Pro devices, and both suffer from the exact same infuriating problems. The audio from every video source-YouTube Music, Prime, Netflix, and local files-is drowned out by relentless crackling static and white noise. It's so bad that watching anything is impossible; the interference completely ruins the experience. The video is just as terrible, with constant lagging and stuttering, even on downloaded files that should play flawlessly. On top of that, the interface is slow and unresponsive, making navigation a chore.I updated all my apps and both units, but nothing improved. The seller sent a separate USB update after I reached out, which I installed on both devices, and it didn't fix a single issue-same crackling, same lag, same frustration. Speaking of the seller, their support is a joke. They're painfully slow to respond to any messages, whether through Amazon or their own support email, which is somehow even worse. I've been left hanging with two useless devices and no meaningful help.Buyer beware: don't waste your money on this garbage. It's a infuriating, overpriced mess.

Laggy, but feature packed
I have been using wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for a couple years now. Many did not work very smoothly, losing connectivity here and there. I finally did find a decent one that could do both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay by simply flipping a switch. When Ottocast came out with one, I was excited to see how it would compare. The Ottocast allows you to play back Netflix and YouTube by using your phone's WiFi hotspot. However, keep in mind that doing so will also disable Android Auto/CarPlay because that system also uses WiFi. So, it is an either/or proposition.Android screen launches upon turning on the car, then loads to the main screen where Netflix, YouTube, and YouTube Music are prominently displayed. You can then push the Android Auto or Apple CarPlay button to pair to your phone via Bluetooth, then WiFi takes over. What I noticed about Ottocast's Google Maps performance was that it is a bit laggy compared to the other product I had been using. I upgraded the firmware to the latest version and it was still laggy. Customer Support asked to provide a video -- I showed one of the laggy Ottocast and one of the other product. Support then said to perform a full factory reset and update with the latest OS image -- I refused to do so as it requires installing software, drivers, etc. that is beyond the comprehension and ability of the average consumer.Support then said to ship the product back to them and wait for a replacement to be mailed. It was easier for me to just order a replacement through Amazon.Once I got the replacement, again, Google Maps performance was laggy. I updated the firmware again. Same issue.I told Support that the issue is with the product and not the firmware. I had high hopes for the Ottocast -- it works, but its performance makes it less fun to use than the other product I had been using.By the way, YouTube videos are cut off on the left side by the navigation menu, as shown in one of my pictures.

CarPlay Adapter - Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto even if car only has wired CarPlay
This is a great adapter for cars that only have CarPlay and you have an android phone. I haven’t tried all the other features (Netflix, YouTube, etc) as the main reason for getting this was to have Android Auto in a wired CarPlay only car (Toyota/Lexus). It also adapts to your screen resolution so if you have a switch it from one car to another with a wider screen it’ll refresh to fill the entire screen. Originally tried another adapter (Carlinkt 4.0) which stopped working when trying to connect to another car and the resolution doesn’t update for wider screens. If you intend to use the other apps and connect to WiFi seems like it works best for touchscreeens otherwise it seems that you have to pair a mouse to be able to scroll through the settings if you don’t have a touch screen. Again if you just need Android Auto it works great - go to the CarPlay connection once your car detects a device, navigate to the Android Auto icon, connect to Bluetooth, wait a few seconds and success.
