I bought the C and Bb and i gotta say I AM IMPRESSED!! For whatever reason the C did not seem to play well right out of the box like the Bb did, however when i picked it up a couple days later, it really blew me away. In my experience mid-priced harps tend to be the ones I enjoy playing most and this one is no exception. comfortable in the hands and sounds great. The sandal wood by the way is better looking than any other comb in my collection

I received my JDR Gentle Monster harmonica in the key of D in good condition from Amazon. I played it today for the first time directly from the box and it played perfectly. I was able to play the overblows in holes 1, 4, 5, and 6. This is a solidly built harmonica with nice features including a raised key label, an attractive sealed wooden comb and sturdy cover plates with good support. I have several other JDR harmonicas including Trochilus and the John Lee and they are professional quality instruments.

Incredibly responsive out of the box without tweaks. I've tested 9 of them so far between this model and a very similar model from JDR. Each has played lightning fast. Notes certainly bendable.
