The serum is easy to use, with a wonderful scent that lasts all night! I just put some on my fingers and then rub it through my hair, especially on the ends where it's dry, but also on the scalp and new growth to encourage the follicles. It's not greasy, but it really softens and moisturizes my hair. It's a little pricey, but you don't use much at a times, so you get a decent price per product ratio.

This stuff is wonderful... if your hair is color treated, put it on at night, it keeps my hair soft and fresh. I just re-blow dry hair in the morning. It is used just like a hair oil.

This hair serum helped me control my frizzy hair and was super easy to apply before going to bed. My hair didn't feel greasy in the morning and I didn’t notice any irritation.

I really like the smell of this product. It smells nice and is not too strong. I have hair down to the middle of my back and use about a dime size amount. I rub it between my hands and come my hands through my hair to disperse it. I wouldn’t put more than that or I fear it might get greasy but obviously it depends on your hair type and length.

Shu Uemura is known for wonderful, quality products for your hair. Essence Absolute Nourishing Overnight Hair Serum didn't disappoint! Over the past few years, I went from going to the salon weekly for hair treatments to learning to care for my own hair. Shu Uemura makes it easy for anyone to have nice soft, shiny and frizz free Hair. At first I was worried that the bottle was so small, but after using it a few times, I learned how little you need. I basically put a dot of cream into my palm and rub it into my hair. My hair is left silky smooth without being greasy. This product hydrates, nourishes and detangles my hair. I am blown away by its frizz control...hours and hours pass with no frizz; even in the overcast, misty weather. I love the shine also. Best is this leave in cream is not heavy. It is lightweight and so helpful! My hair is left so shiny and without frizz.

This product does work well to reduce frizziness, but it left my coarse, 4b hair a bit sticky feeling instead of moisturized. Maybe because product just sits on top of my hair usually. Doesn't smell bad though a little like flowers. It's also a really small bottle for $30 but if it works for you maybe it's not a bad value.

I have fine, curly ringlets that tent to develop frizz towards the bottom and this serum helps to prevent that. I just use a half squirt on my palm and then lightly touch/smooth my curls. Seems to make my hair healthier after a few weeks. I don't use this every day, just when I need a little extra help or want to add the treatment. I'm very happy! I even apply this at night when I want to have a smoother look in the morning.
