Devialet Phantom II - 98 dB - Compact Wireless Speaker - Matte Black

So let me start by saying I didn't think I would end up buying Devialet. I wanted to go for a Bang and Olufsen Soundstage. I tried Bang and Olufsen, and I loved it, great product hands down. However, my friends and family members asked me to get a Sonos Soundbar with its base. After two weeks of back and forth, I finally gave in to my family and returned the B&O and got Sonos. The worst decision I ever made. After a month in, I just couldn't bear to listen to the crap Sonos was putting out and knowing that B&O was out there... it was calling me. I said enough is enough, and I am returning Sonos, and get B&O... I ordered the B&O, and the package never arrived. Amazon said sorry it's lost, something within me said, I think I am not supposed to own B&O, and maybe its time to look for something else. That's where I decided to go with Devialet (Although I ordered Matt black and received Iconic white. ain't worried about it, Amazon will fix it) I can honestly say, this one packs one punch, from the unboxing experience to start up. It is a dream. There is this sense of occasion. The 34-year old in me saw himself becoming a 14-year kid laughing, jumping, and telling my family, "Did you see that?" " Did you hear that?" Yes, it is expensive, and Usually, when the product is hyped so much and priced so high, you have high expectations, you feel worried, what if it lets you down. I am glad to say; this product is not that! God bless the engineers and designers. Thank you for giving me that feeling. It's priceless. While writing this review, I have a smile ear to ear. Everyone deserves to hear the quality and see this piece of art. Thank you Devialet and thank you Amazon and now please get me the matt black :)

No other word to use except AMAZING!!! STOP thinking or comparing, just a waste of time you'll never find better!! Its ridiculous how crisp and powerful! The price, well, you get what you pay for!!!

The sound is awful, it literally sounds like pots and pans as soon as you push the volume a bit. The Bluetooth connection is a nightmare, almost impossible to pair properly, constant dropouts, total mess. And the worst part. When you turn the volume up, pieces actually come loose inside and fall onto the floor. Literally. Bits of metal falling out of a so called high end speaker is beyond insane. Build quality is unacceptable, reliability zero, user experience disastrous. And all of this for a price that is completely outrageous. Honestly, this is total garbage. I’ve never seen something this expensive perform this badly.

I’m an analog circuit designer, this technology is really top notch! How they get such a big (and loud) sound out of such a small package is amazing but just state of the art science and engineering! Using high pressure housing to get great bass in a small size is brilliant! The class AD amplifier gets so much power the needed the metal tweeter to take it. Wonderful soprano arias. Great death metal. Expensive but I cannot see any alternative for me. I bought two and they make a great space filling stereo pair. I really like the app and ability to play Spotify over the wifi to them. My family started using them right away. Even my Luddite wife!

I love this brand for so long, I have phantom and Gemini, but this phantom 2 I got having minor defect on its right side as video shown. It has denomination on the frame!😭 Hope I could get the support from customer service, or I ll be disappointed with the brand which I support been a while
