Very good system compare to the spring option. Feels safe and sturdy. My wife has no problem taking it up and down.

Build quality is solid. Definitely a good alternative to the name brand kit. The instructions are all in metric so will need to do a little math if you want to use SAE measurements. Also called for 1” plywood, I used 3/4” and just adjusted the plans. The plans themselves are decent but I recommend your own design while accounting for the critical dimensions needed to make this kit work. Overall, extremely happy with the purchase at the price point.
