Back to health - The natural way
Having spent the last 2 years in and out of doctors, suffering with tiredness and muscle weakness with no resolution from said doctors, i was on the point of giving up on everything when i began to realise that even eating food was making me unwell. Not any one specific food or food groups though, all foods. As a measure of last resort i decided to put myself on a back to basics diet. No processed foods, no sugar, just single ingredient foods and though researching the health benefits of various foods from around the world, i chanced upon this miracle product. It has been a game changer for me and it has given me my life back. I can make plans again. I can have hopes and dreams again. I can just do things without worrying about how many days it will take to recover and it's all down to a few grams of Kefir. No it has not turned me into superman but it did have me thinking it when i started taking this such was the effect it has had. I will say that what you have delivered wont seem like much at first but place it in a fermentation Jar and just feed it milk every other day and the magic will start to happen. It wont taste great and my advice would be to just pour away the strained fekir for a couple of weeks while it gets up to speed unless you have a strong disposition. The taste will improve but it is an acquired taste rather than an enjoyable one but with its incredible benefits it is so definitely worth it. It does "something" in your gut. I don't really know what it does but it does good things down there. I am no longer tired and my muscle strength is returning. What it is doing down there is nothing short of a miracle for me. Dont bother buying the shop branded fekir yogurt as there is so little fekir in them. Buy this one, make it yourself and save yourself some money as well as its health benefits it gives. If you're reading this and my story seems familiar to you, then try this out. Maybe it will benefit others as much as it has done for me. Couldn't rate this product any higher.

Brilliant! Fast growing Kefir.
Had this for about 3 weeks now and already had to separate and store 2 tablespoons worth of grains in the freezer. Meanwhile I still have 2.5 tablespoons working in the jar of milk. When the grains arrived they looked like tiny biscuit crumbs and so minimal that I couldn't believe it would culture anything but after only a couple of cycles, it was in full swing. Now they are larger and starting to look like rice pudding. I look forward to when they look like cauliflower!! They're working well, fermenting milk into kefir every 24 hours (or less) been leaving it on the kitchen counter only and sometimes even in the fridge for part of the time. I've even had to give them a break 3 times already because we just couldn't keep up with drinking the amount of kefir they were producing! Since receiving these grains, even while giving the grains a break, we've been drinking about 600-700ml per day of kefir. They're so abundant and efficient our problem is trying to slow them down! We use organic whole milk with them. It's so creamy and thick that we're hardly using yoghurt anymore. So now we are saving money from purchasing kefir and yoghurt! We just have to buy milk! Really happy with this purchase. They are the gift that keeps on giving.

Tiny Tiny grains with a want to grow
When it arrived I wasn’t sure if the milk had any grains in it but after close inspection I did fine some but they were very very tiny. So I followed the instructions, I used 250mls of Graham’s organic milk with a spoon of cream from the top of it. I waited until day 4, and strained, the grains were slightly more apparent but very delicate. I didn’t rinse I just added about a pint of Graham’s milk again, and today after 2 days it’s much thicker and the grains appear to be expanding in size thankfully. The picture on the listing shows very big mature grains and that will take some getting to. I’ve just put another 1.5 pints if milk as this is where I want it to be as we are a big family and now after todays batch I’m very confident this batch is going to keep growing and keep improving over time. I’m use to making fermented breads fruit veg and drinks….. and Greek yoghurt, so if you’re buying this and have little patience ……. I wouldn’t bother, it needs to mature more, but will pay off if you’re consistent and patient. Overall I’m happy. 1st picture is of size of grains when arrived, the next is today’s 1.5 pint of milk and the underneath of the jar with the bigger grains forming.

These microbes grow fast :)
At the same time as the kefir grains, I bought a couple of fermentation jars (I use one but as it is glass I am glad I have a spare) and a little sieve (both of which turned out to be perfect for the job). The grains came in a tiny food-quality plastic bag and I wondered how long it would take to get a mug of kefir. 48 hours later I was enjoying my first mug full. I put a mug of warmed milk (from the fridge to the microwave for 1.5 mins on 900w setting warms the milk nicely) to ferment every day. Only about 3 weeks later and I am not only enjoying a very thick mug of Kefir each morning but once a week I am eating some of the culture to keep it at bay :) I also wash out the fermentation jar only once a week. The jar sits on my worktop in a fairly shaded area and yet the microbes still thrive. Given the cost of shop-bought kefir I recouped my initial investment within two weeks; so all it is costing me now is a mug of milk (blue top - full fat milk) and a little microwave electricity every day (I only use the microwave because I am not willing to wait for the milk to get to room temperature slowly). All in all I call that a win. The three photos show the kefir before decanting, the empty jar and the cultures in the sieve. The fermentation jars are top quality too. I have also found that the mug of kefir each morning keeps the hungry-bugs at bay for about 6 hours (I am retired but fairly active so burn energy); which is great for anyone practicing intermittent fasting. Update after 3 months of daily drink - the kefir is nice and thick every 24 hours or so. Very sour/tart which is excellent. I need a bigger seive! I have to eat some of the cultures to keep them in check too. I have not washed the fermentation jar for at least 3 weeks and all is still very good and clean inside the jar. All in all - highly recommended.

Would not work.
As soon as I received the grains in the post, I put straight into the fridge as I wasn't able to start my batch straight away. 1 day later, I removed grains from fridge for a few hours to reach room temperature. Placed into a clean Kilner jar covered and left on the worktop. After 48 hours it appeared to be working, seperation taking place and clumping on the surface. However, it had a very strong yeast odour. I closed the lid and turned jar upside down once, when I released the lid it exploded everywhere. OK, take two. I rinsed the grains with milk, used a new clean Kilner jar and started again, covered and left on the work top. Slight clumping on the surface after 24 hours, still very strong yeast smell, still very liquid. Washed it all down the drain. No contact details for seller so hopefully the may respond to this review. Thanks.

Great seller, quality product!
Fantastic seller, great communication. It’s a quality product, followed the easy instructions included in the purchase and the grains are producing better and better kefir everyday. Bear in mind the grains need a settling in period where you’ll need to exchange the milk and experiment initially with fermentation times to get them working properly but once they are settled they are very productive!

Excellent grains
I bought 10 gm in the spring of 2023 and nurtured the grains as explained in the leaflet. The minute I opened the package of tiny pearls I put them into half a pint of whole pasteurised Waitrose standard milk. I followed the instructions changing milk as directed and after a week took the plunge and put my now nobbly tiny grains into a half gallon kilner jar with about 3 pints of the milk leaving a gap of about 3” and sealed the jar. I left it on the counter overnight and by the following day I had thick kefir. This was helped by a a heatwave we were having last year in UK. I was initially mystified that these were pearl like forms not looking a bit like the small 10mm cauliflower images I’d seen online that kefir makers showed on YouTube. I’ve made kefir and kefir curd ever since most days and given grains to friends. My grains are still going strong. Good seller. April 29 2025. My grains are still going strong. This was the best £10 I ever spent on a food product. I have given many grains away over the 2 years, but only locally. I mix the curd with l.reuteri or l.gasseri yogurt I make myself and with the two products I make very creamy fresh ice cream with a paddle on a simple freezer tray from Amazon for about £11. The curd is also good mixed with chopped chives. I drink about a pint of Kefir a day. So much nicer than commercial kefir. I like it plain and could not stand it flavoured with lemon or orange peel or a vanilla pod. From my experience this Kefir will help suppress your appetite and help stem the desire for sugar laden foods.
