I always just warm up in microwave and pour over tempura battered chicken strips. It works very well. So will be fine in pan.

No , don’t add water, you just heat it microwave in a jug, or if you have made crispy chicken you can heat sauce in a frying pan and then add the crispy chicken to coat it. Another way is to heat it and have as a dipping sauce. It’s delicious every way I’ve used it. Enjoy.
