Great value
Feel sturdy and rigid to support any age, height or weight. Not too light, not too heavy. The pointed ends worked great in an icy condition. Straps are secured well. Love this product, many compliments on their unique look.

Definitely Worth the Money
This is a nice, heavy(ish) walking stick that I would not worry about breaking under normal circumstances. The wood is a neat, light-colored, and grainy/textural type and is covered with a decent coat of clear lacquer. If you're a 250 lb guy and fell on top of this in just the right way as the bottom of it was planted in the ground and the top lay atop a stump...then yes, you could break it. Under normal hiking, December-March "frozen yard/driveway" work, and some ice-related falls, I don't expect this to break.I feel that this stick would be great to get a snake safely off of a hiking path...to dissuade a pesky smaller/medium dog from chasing you...or to give you a bit of "credibility" with other people during a walk or a hike. This stick would NOT be my first choice if I truly expected to have to ward off a pit bull or a rottweiler. The spike, while nice, is not very long and is not sharpened to a point. You could file it down a bit if you so desired, but any thoughts of "braining" an attacking animal should be put aside. The length/mass ratio is also not optimal for something you think you might have to actually USE for self defense. Something stubbier and thicker, such as a shillelagh...or a TRUE "root" (not one of the ones online that say root by don't actually have one) cane/stick...would, in my opinion, deliver a much more effective blow to an aggressor.I kind of wish the lanyard hole wasn't quite so large, as its diameter could clearly cause a failure if you needed to swing the stick at something.Otherwise, I'm very happy with this walking stick and would definitely buy another for the money. Some paracord wrap, perhaps a button compass glued to the top (although the top of the stick is not perfectly flat), and perhaps a small fixed blade with sheath tethered along the length of this, and you've got one outstanding hiking/camping/survival stick!

Great stick - but not very straight
The stick is well made and very sturdy. Its natural look will meet my needs perfectly, except I am VERY disappointed that there were several bends in it. It did not even come close to any photographic images present here on Amazon. I can live with one or maybe two small ones -- not like this. It looks like a second. It was shipped to me fast, so, if there is time, I think I will order another to compare and return the worst of the two. My time is tight, so I decided to not go thru the exchange process...I did order the second one. It was far straighter, but with more knots and a rougher finish. This is okay as plan on doing some conversion work on it. So, I am sending the first one back for a refund. If you get one of these, plan on possibly needing to return/exchange it for a different one.

Great walking stick
Great walking stick. When I was a kid in the 70's my Grandfather used to take me on long, long walks along the train tracks and through the woods. We would always start by carving a walking stick and sometimes I kept those walking sticks for over a year.Well I recently got back into hiking and camping so I bought this walking stick. Mine is about 1-1/2" x 1-1/4" at the top which is great for me because I have big hands. They also offer it at 60" which is critical for me at 6'3". I hung from it supported by two trees so it's strong. Mine has a micro crack from the top about four inches down though. That's annoying.

Toothpick
Item is cracked and you tried to glue it to make it look like it wasn’t. I bought several from this company and all were defective. The page shows a large wooden stick but I got a toothpick
