This chelated form of Zinc is highly bio-available, so you don't run the risk of just peeing away the mineral without any effect. Along with the chelated form of Selenium you have the benefit of helping your immune function, and for men, sexual health too. We buy from Swanson almost exclusively with excellent results. I haven't had a cold in years and my immune system is not in great shape. The capsules are clean (no dust), odor free, as well as small and easy to swallow.. It is cheap health insurance!

I got a bunch of these since they were cheap and I like the idea of zinc picolinate (which is supposed to be the most bioavailable form of zinc). I got the Now foods kind, too (the 50mg). I feel better taking the Now kind than this, but I try not to take the Now kind every day since it's over the upper-limit for zinc (which is 40mg). So, I take it every other day and take one or two of these (20mg pills) the rest of the time. It seems to work out pretty well. I'm not sure why I feel better when I take the Now kind. I'm pretty sure it's not just because there's more of it. I like the look of the ingredients on this more, so I'm surprised the Now kind makes me feel better. Kind of weird. Maybe Now uses more picolinic acid to make the zinc picolinate. I wish I could picolinic acid by itself. Wikipedia it--it's great stuff from the look of it.
