I love this thing. I use it to make tea and it keeps the water hot longer than it takes me to finish the tea. Will it last 12 hours? I cant honestly say, I havnt used a timer on it, but it does last way longer than I expected it to. This has surpassed all of my expectations.

This keeps the hot water hot for several hours. I filled it with hot water at 7:00 p.m. and the next morning by 10:00 a.m. the water was not hot but was very warm. This is a great quality product I recommend

It is a nice looking piece. It kept my cocoa hot all day. My only complaint is that fluids get caught up around the pour spout so it leaks all over when removing the lid.

Keeps hot water hot for over 12 hours.

I'm VERY pleased with this carafe. We always make coffee in the morning by grinding the beans and using a coffee press then pouring it into a glass carafe to keep on the warming burner. But it never keeps it really hot. This Airpot keeps it hot and it's easy to pour from. I don't know the full hot time, as we've usually drank it all by noon or 1pm--so at least six hours. Truly love it and highly recommend.

I should have paid better heed to the negative reviews. This "heat preservation kettle" does no such thing. After washing and rinsing it in piping hot water, I filled it with freshly brewed hot coffee. Hoping for a hot refill of my cup a few hours later, I was sadly disappointed to find what was left in this carafe was barely above room temperature. What a disappointment. If I had paid $5 for it I could excuse it for not working as advertised. The lid feels cheaply made and I felt like I had to treat it very gently when screwing it on so as not to break it. It looks nice, so I guess if you're looking for an ornament to adorn your countertop this might be just the thing. I prefer function over form, however, so I will be returning it.

Keeps drinks hot for hours

Really kept my coffee hot for a very long time. Also it was easy to pour.
