Great quality and perfect for side sleepers (once it expanded all the way). I have a little back pain since I normally slept on the couch, but this futon is very comfortable and has just the right amount of firmness. I put an old bedsheet over it since it didn’t come with a cover.

We bought two twin sized futons for our two sons to use while visiting their grandmothers house. Tired of replacing air mattresses when they get leaks. These mats do offer a high level of comfort, I tried sleeping on them myself. They are an amazing value, I was apprehensive about the quality given the low price, but decided to try them based on reviews. My fears were wrong, they are great.

This is the perfect mattress. I had a bad experience before with another mattress that basically felt like a thick blanket. This was my second attempt, and it turned out exactly how I wanted. I like sleeping close to the floor without discomfort, and this mattress is just right.It’s firm and supportive — nothing digs into the floor, so there’s no pain or pressure on the bones. It’s very comfortable overall.Maybe it could have been just a little thinner, but if it were, it would probably start to feel uncomfortable.It’s a great middle ground between a thick, standard mattress and a very thin mat for those who want a really hard sleeping surface, like a Japanese sleeping mat.

Excellent futon mattress! Although the thickness may be less than 3 inches, the high-quality foams inside provide a luxurious support & firm cushion.

Omg, 10 stars if I could! Amazing mat, very comfy, well made. Sleeping on the ground/floor is not a problem and I’m older.. Once unpacked from vacuum seal packet, it needs stretchy cords/rope to be rolled back for storage.

So comfortable and nice. I use it for my after workout recovery routine. Easy to fold and put away.

Original 3 Star Review: After two weeks the foam compressed and stopped rebounding so it's not great for sleeping on every night. If you only plan to use it occasionally it might be fine. But it doesn't roll up and you can only fold it with some difficulty. I noticed other reviews mentioned that and I was hoping that meant the foam was sturdy enough to withstand daily use. But I wake up as stiff and sore as I did on an ancient spring mattress. I guess I need to add another layer to get some more cushioning, but I was really hoping to avoid that.EDIT: I put two yoga mats side by side under this mattress, the big ones that are like three centimeters thick. I have limited floor space and furniture holds the yoga mats together, otherwise they'd slide apart in the middle. And now I turn the mattress and flip it over once a month, and the foam seems fine. So with more cushion under it, it bounces back nicely and I sleep well. However, it absolutely does not roll up, not without strong arms and straps to hold it. I really needed something that could fold away easily but it's like that "pick any two of three important criteria" dilemma.
