I got this for my 7 year old and it’s been a lot of fun for both of us! I was shocked by how fast the tool works to spin the quilling paper into a coil. It literally does it in probably one second flat or less. It is much more efficient than spinning the coils by hand. I love that the papers come with a sticky end that eliminates the need for glue and is much more kid friendly than dealing with glue. The only thing you have to watch out for is that you load the paper into the tool the right way so that it spins the paper in the correct direction so that the sticky end is down toward the quilled paper and not on the outer side away from the coil. It’s not hard to redo though if you don’t get it right the first time. The paper is the standard quilling paper size and the tool is a good bit larger than the traditional quilling tool but very manageable. We did have a little issue with the batteries being finicky in the tool and it needing a little hitting to get it going again but other than that it’s a good quality set. It’s nice that it comes with 100 papers in a variety of colors, a booklet with instructions and ideas of projects to make, as well as a card with different gauges of coil sizes so you can be precise with your measurements. I would recommend this product and it’s been a time saver!

This machine works well when it wants too. We have to constantly hit the underside of it to get the batteries to go back in place. Putting a piece of paper might help with it. It does come with a ton of stuff to work with, and it’s really kid friendly. The strips have glue spots so no glue required. The little design papers are also incredibly sticky so they quilled papers stick for good.

My son had a little trouble at first. It can be a little fast until you figure out how to use it. Once you get a hang of it, your imagination is the limit! You can make an infinity of cool shapes, objects, art projects, etc. Really awesome gift!!!

Very nice for my child

My 7 year old loved this and says it was his favourite Christmas present. He's had loads of quiet, creative fun making pictures. It's refreshing to find a creative kit which isn't pink as many seem to be marketed heavily at girls - although that won't stop us buying something but it makes a nice change. The set has easy to understand instructions and everything is very achievable for a child to do on their own so they have full ownership of what they make which is also nice as some sets need quite a bit of adult involvement.
