AprilAire H635EZ1A Humidifier Filter/Water Panel Assembly Replacement Kit for AprilAire Whole-House Humidifier Models: 600, 600A, and 600M

For anyone tired of the expensive metal frame filter pads rotting out in their older Carrier humidifier with the built-in guides approximately 14" x 10-3/4" x 2-1/4" (similar to model 49FH024121 with filter 318518-761), this kit will fit with minor modifications. To get mine to fit, I trimmed off the half round tabs on the frame openings flush to the edge lip, cut off the protruding bottom spout flush, clipped off the top of the tube guide, and about 1/2" off the top of each of the internal guides in the humidifier box to allow the distribution part of the frame to sit below the lid. No issues with the fan, bottom and top lids, water valve, and no interference with the fan. It also has the benefit of fitting the opening better so it is likely to perform better with less air going around the pad instead of through it. Good luck and hope this helps someone else.

One is really unable to write an really exciting review about humidifier filters, so I won't. I will say buying them was a very pleasant experience, not to mention one can't even find these kits in the big box stores. I worked and worked, but could not get the lime deposits off of my water panel assembly frame (the only real way to do so is to use cleaning vinegar, which is a "no-way" for me, as the smell of vinegar makes me sick. So, this kit was a no-brainer for me - just remove the front humidifier cover (this is on an Aprilaire 600 unit), then remove the thin water delivery hose from the top of the panel cage, remove old cage with old filter, replace with new cage and filter, replace water delivery hose, and replace cover - it's that easy! Aprilaire suggests you turn the unit off before doing this. I usually don't, as the whole process only takes about a minute anyway, but do what you feel comfortable doing. I bought enough to keep stocked for the next 2 winter's use. Good Luck!

Perfect replacement for my old humidifier filter! It was really easy to take out the old filter and holder, and replace it with this one. I was a little worried not knowing anything about the HVAC system, but it was super easy and just needed to be placed into the holder attached to my system and close the door. I was thrilled, it took no time at all and it fits awesome. There has been no leaking and it has been filtering the humidity, especially now that it is summer. The plastic black holder around the filter is strong and relatively thick.

I have been using AprilAire 600 for several years, and I change the new kit every winter, and this time is no exception. The new kit is perfectly adapted. No tools are required for installation, and it can be installed in a few minutes. The quality of the water panel is as good as ever, and the moisture is evenly distributed. After replacing it, the humidity increases rapidly, and the air at home is fresh and not dry.
