Fantastic tasting Biltong.
By far one of the best Biltong products I have ever tasted, and I've tried a lot. The strips are thin, but not too thin, and are chewy, but not too chewy. The size and thickness of the strips is about right and there are very few 'bits' at the bottom of the bags, unlike some I have bought where the weight is made up from the small off cuts!! The taste is lovely, and if you're looking for a tasty, low carb, high protein low cal. snack, then you've found it in this product. Packaged and presented well too. The only problem I've had is not eating all 10 packs in one go as they're that tasty!!

The real biltong deal
I grew up in Rhodesia and have eaten many variations of genuine biltong, ranging from 'impossible to chew' to 'really chewy' to 'melt in your mouth'. Having lived in the UK for many years now, I have tried a number of supermarket biltong - some with overpowering flavours, and got quite fondof King Rib-Eye. However, I recently set up a subscription for BEEFit. Having tried the first packet today, I can definitely say this is the best I've had in the UK. It's not overwhelming, it's consistently soft and easily chewed and it tastes just like biltong should - OK, that's subjective but I think this is the real deal. Just doubled my monthly subscription as the wife likes it too 😏

Great on-the-go protein snack
Really handy pack size. The BBQ taste is the best of the bunch. However, it still could do with less garlic. Opening up a packet of the original can take out a whole office with the garlic whiff. Apart from that It is a great source of high quality protein.

Best Biltong
My children and I love biltong. We've tried various different ones but this is our favourite. It's a bit pricy, but it is nice quality and flavour. Have ordered several times and always been nice. It isn't chewy like some of the others I have tried. This has slim pieces which aren't going to leave u chewing for hours!

Average, salty biltong at best.
I have had the pleasure of trying a wide variety of different styles, flavours and brands of biltong over the years, all with varying end results. Though I would give this one a bash, as I had never tried it previously and seemed about right price wise. Meat didn't seem that great quality wise and was quite dried out competed to others I have had. But the one major thing that put me off was how salty it was. Had one bag and went straight for a cold drink which is not how it's supposed to be. I get there is seasonings as part of a rub or whatever is added to the biltong in preparation, and salt will be a component of this. However, there wasn't a balanced flavour there, just and overwhelming taste of salt. This is 30 mins after eating a bag as I write this review. Its hit and miss to be honest when it comes to brands that are decent on here, so if you find a good one, brilliant! Namaste.

This is close to the real thing!
It's difficult to describe biltong unless you've grown up in Southern Africa where its manufacture is widespread and virtually every farmer will make it with either beef or venison of some description (kudu usually). I've tried various versions of biltong from other brands, and then found this. Opening the packet and getting that distinct whiff of roasted coriander seed, the dry meat that has the tang of proper biltong spice, yes, this takes you back to Africa. It's not quite the "hunk of beef that you gnaw on until you're done" kind, but thin slices that you can chew on make this perfect for an afternoon snack when the munchies start.

Ok, but would not recommend.
The flavour profile is acceptable, but needs balance. I would recommend trying the other flavours instead perhaps? For the price, I will not be buying again anytime soon.

It’s pretty good, it’s tasty. But it contains too much salt: 1,5 grams for 30 gram biltong. The Biltong from South Africa I bought was less salt and thereby more tasteful, and healthier. If the company would change that, they’d have a solid recipe.

Well, these are a really interesting snack. Seasoning is pretty tasty and the meat pieces aren't too juicy nor too dry. Taste could be a bit more neutral for my preference, but I can see how people like it a bit more tasty. Got several packs now and they also seem very consistent in slicing/texture and salt, which isn't always common in these products. Can't think of many drawbacks except price, if you dry a quality rib-eye at home you can produce a lot more, but of course there's quite some convenience in getting industrial Biltong. Will certainly get more packs, as long as the characteristics remain consistent in each batch.
