Do the expansion components fit in the original box?

I googled the Expansion Set and Barnes & Noble (not Floodgates) gave a complete provided a list of what all comes in the box. The dice tray is a perk but since I don't see myself being able to recruit more than 4 people to play at once I am ordering collapsible dice rolling trays instead of the Expansion Set. Contents: 40 Dice 2 Player Boards (Yellow & Orange) 1 Dice Tray 6 Window Pattern cards 2 Tool cards 6 Objective cards 6 Private Dice Pool boards 2 Score markers 12 Favor tokens 1 Rule book The compartments in the Sagrada box seem to be really deep so I would think you wouldn't have a problem putting the new supplies into your box. My only thought: Is the dice tray collapsible? If it's not then it might be too deep in dimension to place in the original box because of how the black tray with compartments is constructed. BUT one could remove the black compartment tray and re-organize everything! After all, the Sagrada box is fairly deep.

Is this self-contained or do you need to purchase a base game first?

This is NOT a stand-alone expansion... the base game is required to use this expansion

Do you have to have 5-6 players with this expansion pack or can less play?

The private dice pools and new private objectives are playable at all player counts (2 to 6)!

difference between 5-6 expansion and passion expansion?

5-6 Player expansion adds content to be able to play with more players, along with Private Dice Pools and Private objectives that can be used at all player counts. Passion expansion adds 3 new modules that introduce new mechanisms to the game. It can be played with 1-4 players, or up to 6 if you have the 5-6 player expansion, too.
