Compared with other, 1oz. bottles of Shilajit extract on the market, Essence Herbs gives you A FULL PINT's worth of bitters: in addition to Shilajit, there is Moringa, Lemongrass, Spirulina, Cordyceps, Bacopa, Juniper...over twenty different extracts in all. Unfortunately, there is no information on the amounts and collective potency per 1oz. suggested serving. What I can tell you is, while the concentration is not expressly revealed, I can certainly taste the essences of most of the herbal extracts formulated here.And like traditional bitters, you can substitute it for commercial cocktail bitters in your drinks. I like adding just a splash to regular cola, which results in the same "Moxie-like" flavor Coca-Cola gets with its gentian root extract. If you decide to follow the side label instructions, this bottle will last you for a little over two week's use. As for me, I keep it inside my refrigerator, and use a splash here and there as needed. I've even added a little to stretch my small bottle of gentian extract. More than satisfied with this product - I recommend it heartily.

Taste is very bitter.

Although I have come across a little information on liquid bitters in the past, this is the first time I've ever actually tried a bitters supplement. Previously I had only a very vague understanding of what liquid bitters are, although I was aware that they are formulas that are utilized for digestive support. And while I make no medical claims at all, I'm now wondering why it has taken me so long to try bitters because I feel great about taking this particular supplement. Although I am already very familiar with shilajit, many of the other ingredients in this formula are completely new to me, and I find it really interesting to research them and learn more about bitters in general. I like this supplement so much that I have now ordered the soursop bitters that this brand makes as well. Needless to say, this is bitter to the taste, and it takes a little getting used to. But I don't mind the taste because to me, this is well worth consuming. Always do your own research and gather information to determine whether or not a supplement is right for you. That said, for me personally this is a great product, and I recommend it.

Shilajit offers lots of health benefits, but the taste is not the best. I mix it in coffee to dilute the strong bitterness.
