Q: Is the (advertised) small (neck) strap included now? or just a piece of string, as the 5/14/2020 review states ?

This is a full strap. No string to speak of.

Q: Will this work on an acoustic guitar that has a built-in endpin jack?

Probably won't work as delivered BUT you can easily enlarge the hole on the end of the strap to fit over the jack. Just use use heavy duty scissors or shears to enlarge the hole. I've done this on many straps.
