This is actually a nice-sized solid piece. The base looks like real wood. The amber itself is heavy and about the size of a large egg. I can confirm you do not need to worry about quality with this piece. It's solid.

John Hammond would approve. We have looked for a realistic amber for a long time. Theme parks didn't sell em in the shops, and so many are flat pictures of a mosquito. This one is the real deal. The weight and size are great, the mosquito is a bit rather large, but it still looks good. Made an amazing Christmas present and was a huge hit at school for a project.

This one hit the mark. As someone who works in mosquito control and grew up loving Jurassic Park, this is just what I wanted for my desk. Anatomically, the mosquito looks pretty accurate...besides the size (which is quite large).

It is everything and more that I wanted as a gift,its also larger than I thought absolutely love it !!!
