You'd have to read the review to determine if it seems genuine. Or you can wait for a few hundred people to buy them and get around to reviewing them. The idea behind Amazon Vine (https://www.amazon.com/vine/about?th=1) is that well-rated reviewers (Vine Voices) get early access to new products--provided from Amazon, not from the seller directly--to "seed" the reviews, positive or negative, as long as they're accurate. This way you have people who are motivated to review promptly and accurately, Some may feel compelled to glow about the products, others are more blunt, and different people evaluate at different levels of depth and experience. So yes, it looks like 97.436% of the reviews (as I write this) are from participants in the Vine program, and a quick glance shows they're not all glowing reviews of a perfect product. A five-minute browse of the reviews saw a number of issues and concerns people had, but they were not necessarily pervasive. Not entirely unlike my experience with any printer in the last 25 years or so. And this product has 39 reviews with only 40 days on the site. If not for Vine, I'd bet there might not be 39 reviews in the first year, because there are a wide range of printers available, a lot of people are not inclined to review things unless there's a problem, and there might not even have been 39 purchases in the short term. It's also worth remembering that the marketplace in general has destroyed the meaning of ratings. Uber, for example, considers anything below 4.6 out of 5 to be failing. So rather than 3 stars being acceptable, modern rating systems are based on 4 stars being barely acceptable at best. Take the star ratings with a large glowing block of salt, and look at the actual review to see if it shows things you want to know and things you want to do with the product, rather than assuming that 5 stars is perfect. It used to be. But not for many years. Hope this helps.

Q: The max printing resolution (600 x 1200) seems very low for good photos. Most good photo printers seem to have a resolution of at least 4800 x 1200?

This is not a real good photo printer but ok for home office printing. My Canon MG 6120 is wonderful for photos but it is old and out of production. Pixma series may be a good choice for photos.

Q: Can i use the canon gi-20 ink with the canon maxify gx4020 printer?

Don’t even buy the printer the setup cost me a lot
