They do what they are supposed to do for me the elastic at the toes is very tight and uncomfortable to walk on there is a lot of stocking so if your legs are a bit short you get ripples in the leg mine were xl I have a 7 foot and a large calf only issue for me was the elastic at the foot like said

I left hospital wearing a pair of these post surgery, anti DVT stockings. I needed a spare pair so I could alternate. They do have an annoying hole which can trap your toes. And as long as you aren’t being looked after by Nurse Ratched at home, it’s good advice to let someone readjust the foot of the stockings for you so that this doesn’t happen. They dry quickly after laundering so no need to tumble dry.

These are extremely comfortable. Wearing after an operation but will use when flying as well.
