The Raina Telgemeier Collection (A Box Set)

My students loved this series! The vivid pictures and real life-like situations kids can relate to are enjoyable. Many reviewers have given one star because its reference to one boy saying another boy is cute. This happens in real schools and shows kids that situations like this happen and should not be reacted to by bullying and teasing. There is no agenda here but to offer reading entertainment to kids and to be inclusive to the diverse population of students in our society.

My students loved this as a prize item for end of year reading totals. Each year I giveaway a few book box sets to my students. The students who received this item were so grateful and loved receiving a popular book series all their own.

I got these as birthday gift for my eight year old sister and she absolutely loves them! She read one book in a few days and is already on to the next one in the set. Its so great to see comic style books for girls. There are so many for boys and not enough for visual/creative learners like my sister. Definitely getting her more!

My 9 year old daughter loves these books. She read them within days of getting them. Graphic novels are a great way to get kids to read. My only issue is finding them for her reading level. Her school tests her on anything she reads and unfortunately these didn't qualify. She still really enjoyed them and that matters more to me than any standardized tests. She may one day become an author herself.

I loved smile as a kid, I plan to re-read and gift to a family friend. I wanted to continue the series. But it came with Smile, Sister, Guts and drama. Ghosts what not in my set.

The books weren a hit! my granddaughter has been checking them out of the school library over and over, very please she can now read whenever she wishes. There was a 5th book "Guts" that was not included by the same author that I also purchased which made it really special so I recommend getting it as well.

These are great books. My 11 yo daughter has ADHD and struggles most with reading, my 8 yo has surpassed her. This author and these books are the only ones I have found that she will sit down and read for fun. Which is a big deal to me as I don't go anywhere without a book. I have bought every book this author has put out and will be purchasing all future publications also.

Great books, my daughter 10 years, loves it

These books have helped so much with my daughters anxiety and finding how she can better explain herself when she doesnt have the correct words to explain her emotional state. my daughter is an advanced reader but i do think the average 8 year old reader would have some trouble with the words but with a parents help they should be fine to explain the meaning to them.

My grand daughter loved reading these books, great to get a child interested in reading.
