This thing works like a charm. I'm getting perfect batches of L.Reuteri yogurt. I've done 5 bathes now and they have all come out perfect. It's a lot easier to do than I thought before. It's just the live culture, a couple of tablespoons of Inulin and organic half and half. And then set it (and forget it) to 99 degrees and 36 hours and voila - there's great yogurt at the end. Now, I want to mention that I do believe the quality of the strain of bacteria and the quality of the dairy being used probably also plays in to the results, and also making sure to thoroughly clean the containers and utensils before each use. From what I have seen online, contamination can commonly be a reason for bad batches. Anyway, I am very happy with this device and I definitely recommend it.

We love this yogurt maker. It’s easy to use, the directions are simple and it makes great yogurt. We bought the machine with the eight small containers first, and then bought the larger two containers. We love Greek yogurt and after the yogurt has firmed up, we let the homemade yogurt weep out the whey. So tasty, and pure! Plus, the owners/resellers of the machine and large containers included a nice note. That kind of simple touch of connecting with your customer seems lost these days. I have made two batches that both came out great. Easy to use. First batch I let brew for 15 hours using the starter, and it was tasty but a bit runny. The second, I put some of the first batch in and no starter and let it brew for 20 hours, and it was tasty and solid. Perfect. Just follow directions, and it works great. Highly recommend.

Two quarts of perfectly thick, smooth yogurt every single time! I've checked the temperature with my probe thermometer twice while incubating different batches on different days, and it was exactly as I'd set. The bowls are large enough; the lids fit them perfectly without being too tight (you want a bit of room in case there is expansion.) I lift them out when done and pop them right in the fridge to set for a few hours before transferring. I bought this to make L Reuteri "yogurt" according to Dr. Davis's instructions and it is perfect for that. In fact, the default setting is 99 degrees and 36 hours. I also made regular yogurt using store-bought plain as a starter in milk, and incubating about 8-9 hours at 110. That, too, came out just right. Thinner, but when strained it was thick like Greek yogurt. Very easy to use.
