HOME GROWN Organic Cat-Grass Seed Mix (Oat & Barley) – 4 oz – Easy Indoor Planter

My cats love this grass. Easy to grow.. grows high fast, within a few days.

So first off, it looks and feels like a Cactus mix soil. Not sure if it is or not, but the grass seeds grow like wildfire in it! It's not a large bag, but enough for several small containers of cat grass and then some. Next, it holds onto just enough moisture and drains off the rest (in the right container of course) giving the grass seeds just the perfect amount of moisture to grow. People have stated that it's a bit pricey for the amount. However, it's only for cat grass. For the amount of cat grass you can grow with it is impressive. It's basically a plug & play right out of the bag. In the pictures, the round white container, I planted one week ago. And the rectangular black container, I planted two days ago. I still have more than a half of a bag left.

I grew this for my partners cat and it took less than a week from start to finish. It is fun and a cool project you can do with kids or anyone who can put water on it and give it light. The cat likes the grass too. My dogs have seemed interested as well. My recommendations to you: Follow the directions to a T - they have it figured out. Definitely have something that deep roots can be in. My grass needed a deeper pot and seems to always be thirsty. Within a week or 2 the whole pot was root covered, so I think I should have chosen a better pot (I chose an interesting one.. no regrets though.) Make sure you water it a lot because it is a thirsty pot of grass and it loves sunlight. Worth the buy and the journey it was a fun plant project. Also, I didn't use a ton of the seeds, so it can be easily redone a few times if you don't have some massive grass pot.

The germination rate of this has been 100% and my cat and dog both love it.

My cat loves this grass and I can't usually grow a thing. I skipped the instructions and just planed the seeds in soil and watered and they grew just fine. I would trim the grass once it gets too tall, otherwise it lays in the soil and is hard for them to eat, defeating the purpose of all the work! Water regularly.

Half the seeds worled. My cat got sixk from the grass. Idk. Maybe she is allergic. I have been growing grass for her for over 3 years. Wanted to try something different. My mistake. Maybe it will be better for you.

I glow this grass in a small hydroponic tank and my cat loves eating it. I store it up to a month in a zipped plastic bag with a wet tissue.
