Good Beer
Excellent service and beer was fairly easy to make. Had to buy a big saucepan but have it for future brews.

Bought this for my dad as his christmas present, I remembered as a child he used to home brew, so thought this would be an ideal present. As far as I am aware he has not started it yet

Absolutely dreadful.
Having made beer, mead, wine and spirits from everything from scratch, to kits before, I was expecting an involved yet still straightforward experience in making this ale.The first problem comes in the description. No, everything you need to make the beer is NOT included. This wouldn't be so bad if there was some sort of 'you will also need'list printed on the box or in the description, but unfortunately, this is not the case. You will need to find a ton of ice, bottles, a funnel, sugar, a sizeable pot or pan, sieves and more sterilising fluid than what is provided and a decent bottle capper as the one provided is next to useless. The ingredients provided can be bought for a tenth of the price of this kit.The instructions aren't the best either.Ultimately, after leaving the bottles at the right temperature for two weeks, what I had was what looked like the contents of a fish tank.Leaving the bottles longer did not help and in the end, when I did finally venture to open one of the bottles, what burst forth was a foul, milky substance that I dared not risk even tasting.Buy a kit or buy the ingredients yourself and use the extra money for some proper kit and a decent book on the subject and still have money left to go buy a few nice pints instead of spending your hard-earned cash on this cynical, sub-par, product.
