Thank you for your inquiry. You are correct your Baofeng F8hp will fit inside the pouch if the hold down is shortened. We recommend the RCH-103 for smaller radios, or the RCH-101 which now comes with both large and small radio pouches. Thank you, Holsterguy

DenaLHC The RCH-101ORU is designed for the upper left side of your chest, but we get a lot of individuals that just pull it over to right side to use. This right sided holster is currently unavailable , but if we keep getting the amount of requests for it. I’m sure the owner will produce them by summer. Thank you for the question! Holsterguy
