EGO Power+ STA1500 15-Inch String Trimmer Attachment for EGO 56-Volt Lithium-ion Multi Head System

I already have the power head system and this connects easily to it. It does a nice job.

I only ever owned an electric strimmer and that was number of years back, so it was the plug in type and it was very very light weight. So for my garden now, I had been using 2 different 2 stroke strimmers. One of them bit the dust and I invested in this unity since I already had an Ego Power pole saw. I honestly was thinking I could use this for a few days before purchasing another 2 stroke.... I was wrong... I have no need to purchase a replacement 2 stroke. This weed whacker is amazing. The speed at which it spins is far greater than any two stroke so it really does a great job of clearing weeds (even thick ones). It's also a far cry quieter since it's using an electric motor. It is however a bit weighty, especially with the 56Volt battery attached to it, so I do recommend you purchase a shoulder strap for this. However the unit beat my expectations by far and is so easy and safe to use. I love this thing!

This is the third or fourth EGO product I've purchased in the past few months and as with the other elements of the EGO+ elements that work with the 56 Volt Multi Head System. Can't say much more than the product is pretty near perfect. It's easy to use, easy to add new line, there's almost no noise (as compared to the gas powered unit my neighbor uses) and well. . . . We'll just have to purchase another EGO product 'cause their so great.As a note, I got my kid the EGO 24" 56 volt hedge trimmer and now he's hooked on EGO.

This is the most powerful battery operated trimmer I've seen. Works well, large cutting path, durable string. It is heavy and I need to work on balancing the tool with the head attached and the shoulder strap. Biggest complaint is that the trimmer guard is tiny. Guards almost nothing! My left leg is peppered from dirt and small rocks zinging into it. If you are wearing jeans, not really an issue, but homeowners don't wear jeans when it's 90 degrees out. Also, safety glasses are a must.Note: It appears Ego sells an accessory for a larger guard, not happy about shelling out another $15.

Another great add on to my EGo battery operated tools. This is really great and easy to operate. The bump string system works great so far.

I am really happy with my Ego equipment! We have a mower, blower, power head with string trimmer and trimming shears,…..and all work great!

I bought the power head, trimmer, and edger for about $650 all in, but it didn't come with a battery. My bad, I didn't read the description of the power head closely enough. $650 is alot for a trimmer and edger that has no power source. The total cost for these two tools is actually $1100. Had I done the math I would not have purchased. That said, it works well. It's a bit heavier than a corded trimmer, obviously, but I found if I switched arms every few minutes I had no difficulty trimming my entire yard. And the battery allows me to easily trim the long grasses growing in the alley against my fence.
