I wake up so much easier!!
I am so happy I got this. It has made my winter breakups so much easier. Waking up to birds chirping is so peaceful, and the light is just bright enough to get me out of bed but doesn’t shock my eyeballs open. I love using the different colors at night before bed to wind down. Honestly wish I got this sooner, it’s so much better than using your phone alarm!

Decent; sunrise light is choppy
I used the Philips Wake up Light HF3520 (sunrise alarm clock) for 5 years, but both of my clocks eventually malfunctioned in the same way - the light turned off when the alarm sounded (it should have stayed on), and the button to turn the alarm off became unresponsive. The Philips clock has gotten ridiculously expensive at $150 and I've seen the issue I had described on various forums, so it is a common issue. I decided to try the Dreamegg because of the lower price point and attractive fabric cover. Here's some comparison & my experience: - It works as expected, hence I've kept and been using it for the past few months. - The sunrise function works, but between each minute counting down to the alarm the light brightness increases is noticeable. It's not gradual like the Philips. This is the worst aspect I've experienced. The incremental light mechanism feels inferior. - The time/display is only a white color light, and the lowest display brightness level still feels too bright when I've turned the lights off. The red display of the Philips light was not as bright. This is the 2nd negative aspect of the Dreamegg. - It's much lighter and has a flatter/more stable base than the Philips. It stays balanced/upright better. - It only has 1 alarm (unlike the Philips, which let you set up to 2) - There are 3 orange/yellow/gold tone colors which appear more natural. - The fabric cover doesn't feel cheap.

Great choice
I got this as a travel alarm since my daily sunrise alarm was too big to be travel friendly. This did a great job filling in! Actually, the built in sound machine is something I wish my daily alarm had. It definitely comes in handy in noisy hotels. Since I already had a higher end device, this one won't replace it at home. However, if I had purchased this one first I would have been happy with it both at home and traveling. If you are comparing this device with a more expensive one, choose this one. Especially if you aren't sure a light alarm will even work for you. (One thing I love about mine is it doesn't wake up my husband. He doesn't respond to light like I do. I can silently wake up before him without disturbing his sleep. Since I enjoy an hour or so to myself, this is gold.) If you have already had a light alarm and want one that is more advanced, like with an ambient light sensor, then get a more deluxe model. I've got both and they both work.

Great Hatch dupe
A good, affordable dupe for Hatch. Not difficult to figure out and set up after reading the instructions. I like that you’re able to dim or turn off the clock face because I’m a light sleeper and any noise or brightness will wake me up. The range of ambient sound is great, but the options to set for your sunrise alarm is limited. However, the sunrise alarm sounds are all natural sounds to ease you awake (minus the obligatory beeping sound you can choose if you want to… but why would you? lol). Also, depending which light you choose, the sunrise can be very bright once it’s at max brightness.

Great customer service
I received Dreamegg that I thought was no longer working properly. I had it for a months and i absolutely loved it. When I tried to change time for DLS time I was unable to. I contacted seller and explained issue. They asked for video, which I sent. Within a very respectful period of time I received a replacement. Upon receiving the replacement and setting alarm on new egg I realized the the problem wasn't the product, it was me. I love this Dreamegg! I will be buying more. They make a great gift. I was a customer service supervisor for 30 years so customer service means a lot to me. Thank you Leader Trade.

A delightful, well thought wake up clock
I love love love this alarm clock. I literally wake up smiling. The slow gradual increase in light helps me slowly wake up and it feels so good to wake up to a lot room. I also love the bird song. It’s delightful and my partner can’t hear it so I don’t wake him up. I’ve been waiting for a sunrise alarm clock that’s user friendly and under $100 and have been so satisfied with this. I travel with it and it travels well. I also love the other features like the sound machine I use sometimes on travels or the night timer. I also enjoy how you can dim the clock screen to almost not visible - I can only see it in the very dark room. I’m really sensitive to light so I appreciate this function. Well designed and executed. A delightful start to my day.

Works Great with a Few Major Flaws
Sadly, it just doesn't work for us. 1. The time display is too bright and cannot be lowered dark enough. I need an almost black room to sleep well. But at its lowest level, it's too dull to see during day so you have to change it twice a day! And even then it's still too bright at night. I've found that only red light alarm clocks work for me. We made a solution of putting sheer red tape over the time display. 2. Subrise light doesn't get bright enough! Idk it's not bright enough to really rouse me. I was hoping to not need the sound portion. 3. The sleep/white noise turns off once the sunrise starts. It's really jarring and THAT wakes me up lol, but then it's too early! I wish it would stay on until the sound/alarm portion actually turns on. PROS: a ton of white noise variations! And a very nice and realistic thunderstorm with bass rumbles. And a lot of fun color lights to play with. We've made this clock work for us as a light, a noise machine, and a clock, just not an alarm, and especially not a sunrise alarm.

It’s such a great product, we loved it for the first week… after that it’s been hit or miss whether the wake up light comes one. The alarm sound always goes off but with out the light this is just a really expensive, but nice looking alarm clock. Recommend a more reliable option if the wake up light is important to you
