This machine has always been used to cook rice rolls.I really like its quick and quick ripening function.You deserve it.

Stopped working in 3 months :( won’t turn on

This is a steamer and it steams well. I've only had this a week and I've only used it once so far, but I was really happy with the result.This steamer is really easy to use and is very intuitive. It does help to ready the instructions, which are easy to read.The steamer heated up much faster than I expected which was nice.My first experience was with tamales that I purchased from a carniceria nearby. I bought vegetable and pork tamales that were frozen. I put them right in the steamer, frozen, and 20 minutes later I had tamales that tasted like I just steamed them fresh.Tamales aren't that messy from frozen, but this steamer did clean up real easy.I can see steaming a lot of things in this steamer.A downside of this steamer is that the cord is really short. When I cook with this, my pressure cooker or anything else that releases heat and steam, I prefer to do it on the stove to prevent damage to my cabinets. I have an outlet on each side of my stove. It didn't matter which side I put this steamer on, the cord barely reached the outlets. I had no wiggle room on where I could place the steamer on my stove and still reach the outlet. It was just barely under the hood. I don't have this issue with other countertop appliances. This is frustrating.Overall, I am happy with this steamer and it is going to get a lot of use. I just wish plugging it in wasn't so limiting.

Okay, so like most households I have steamers, but of course most of them are basket style. And while they're great for veggies and the like, they're not so great for dumplings, fish and shrimp. The Changfenge steamer however has changed all of that. So far, I've steamed hot dogs, meat buns, dumplings, shrimp, veggies, fish, all with great success. Add the water, fill the tray, set the timer and within minutes, dinner will be ready. Unlike my basket steamers, this particular steamer heats up super quick. To me, it feels like I'm cutting down the cooking time in half compared to before. I'm a huge fan of dumplings and have done them in a skillet for years, but to me, the steamer takes out all the guess work. This is an easy recommendation for me, because now that I have one, I'm wondering why I waited so long to get this style of steamer. So to quote and old and worn out phrase, 'this is a game changer' for me. However, I really wish they had made the recipe brochure a little bit larger in print and in English. But in the end, that's really no big deal. This has made my love of steamed and Asian foods so much easier. Thank you.

The steamer is so freaking cool. I have a pressure cooker that I steam in but when I saw this I had to get it and try steamed bun, Cheung Fun and dumplings for myself. I am vegan and have food allergies so I have never had these foods since I can't eat at restaurant's. I have to say they are amazing. The steamer is very easy to use and It is made where you can slide the tray out so you never get steam burns making Cheung fun.I watched a lot of youtube videos before it got here and saw how foods are made with and without this machine. I love that I can also use this to steam broccoli and tofu quickly and easily. This has become my favorite new cooking device. I already grind my own rice into flour and purchase organic corn starch for body powder, so I had all the ingredients to make baisha flour for Cheung Fun and I used coconut aminos on top and OMG, so delicious. A girl on youtube shows how to make the flour from scratch.I would recommend highly, I love it so much and it comes with the tools you need to roll the flour and make rice rolls. I am so grateful I found this and have it in my life. I have been opened to a whole new style of cooking and now ordering all the dumpling and bao bun presses I can find. It also steams vegetables better than the pressure cooker. Thank you!

So we thought we'd get a ton of use out of this lil appliance, but we just haven't. Most of the functions we can create just with a stovetop pan. So I'd say if you steam items daily, this would be great for you! If you don't, pass. The couple of times we've used it, it's worked really well, steamed up quickly, and was easy to use.
