The colour is bright and lasts quite a few days. You have to use the OPI base and top coats with the colour. I found the colour difficult to apply evenly. You need the coat thick enough to go on in one pass, covering the whole nail and not touching the edges or cuticles. If you need to do another stroke, it mucks up the first one. And apply it too thick and it doesn't dry properly - eventually it does, but the polish will get marked up before it fully cures. You will need two coats unless you apply a thick one - but I don't recommend that either. The top coat covers many of the less than attractive lumps in the polish. It may self level too, which makes it look better after it's cured. *NB I am not a professional nail tech nor do I apply polish frequently. I expect those with more experience will do a better job. The polish is a gel based polish, but it has been precatalyzed - it does not require UV light to cure. It cures hard - I wore it camping and while the lake water did affect a couple of the nails, and I was able to peel some off (because I like to pick at my nails), the overall strength and durability was way higher than traditional lacquers, more comparable to the UV cured versions. Pros - lasts much better than lacquer polishes. The clearcoat topcoat helps hide the ridges in the polish. Cons - difficult to apply evenly and nicely. Maybe could use a lighter brush or thinner product. Other - the colour I chose was very bright and I will use it on my toenails next time and choose a softer colour for my hands.
