Gets All the Points for a Mushroom Supplement
I've given this a 5-star rating as of August 2024. If I drastically change my perspective of the product in the next few months, I'll post an update.Short review:- Cogu is a great way to introduce a mushroom blend into your daily nutrition routine.- The mild taste makes it pleasant to take as a shot or to mix in a drink.- The liquid form makes it highly dissolvable.- The bottle cap can be used as a quick tool to measure a serving.- I like the boost of energy and clarity it provides me.- It feels good for my brain and gut health.Longer review: (I had a little too much fun with this.) I recently incorporated mushroom mixes into my diet. I buy various supplement powders because i am bad at getting enough vegetables and protein in my diet. And I have tried my share of powders (protein, greens, mangosteen, you name it). As you can likely guess, I already had a mushroom powder mix in my pantry. I wanted to be able to write a review more detailed than, "Pretty good." So, I decided to extensively compare my powder with this Cogu liquid! The powder mix I have came with a little spoon to measure out serving sizes. Cogu comes with a suggested measure of one tablespoon. I knew I did not want to pull out a measuring spoon every single time I used it. Could the bottle cap act as a measuring tool similar to medicine bottles? Why, yes. I measured it out. One (1) capful equals half (1/2) tablespoon. So two (2) to four (4) caps = one (1) to two (2) suggested servings. Check.Next, I wanted to know how well it blended with my daily drinks. I love my caffeine. I do not plan to replace my coffee or energy drinks with adaptogens quite yet. However, I DO want to add them into said coffee and energy drinks without it changing the flavor. Which meant it was time for a taste test!Taken as a shot: Because it's liquid, Cogu can be taken like a daily health shot (similar to a wheatgrass or ginger shot from a smoothie shop). It tastes like an espresso shot with a bit of a savory after taste. Not the best tasting thing but MUCH better than the powder. Now, of course the powder still tasted like mushrooms, but the texture is what made it unpalatable. "Dissolved" into a little water, I just ended chewing powdered mushroom sludge in comparison to Cogu. Point, Cogu.I took pictures of each stage of my tasting. You can see the difference. The powder, even stirred, never seemed to actually breakdown completely. The Cogu nearly disappeared into the liquids I added it to. The Cogu also still tasted better in only water than the powder. Point, Cogu.Next, my morning latte. Again, I'm a caffeine addict. I make myself a daily cup of coffee in virtually the exact same way every day: 8 oz coffee, 16 oz milk, and brown sugar. You. Can. See. The. Difference! The mushroom powder swirled around the milk but never quite disappeared. It looked a little...chunky. The Cogu and milk? Those came together quite nicely into a light, caramel color. The Cogu latte was creamy and tasty without too many bitter notes. Point, Cogu.I did a blind taste test with my sister (which I WISH I had caught on video!). She liked the Cogu latte better, too. Point and point, Cogu! Finally, I did a sort of wild card check. I was drinking a "dirty soda" (if you're from Utah, you know). I randomly decided to drop a tablespoon of Cogu into my drink. In hindsight, this could have really, REALLY messed up the taste of my drink. Yet, it DID NOT! I could not taste a mushroom coffee shot in a mango coconut lime soda! Points upon points, Cogu!Overall, I just enjoyed the Cogu more than the mushroom powder I had already been using. It tastes better and blends better. I already knew I liked the way mushrooms make my body feel, especially my gut and brain. Cogu gives me a great option to get my daily mushrooms in a tasty, easy, fresh way.I highly recommend!

Great in coffee
This is great if you want to add it to something like coffee. I've tried it in tea and that was gross. The taste by itself is bitter. I desperately want the benefits of the ingredients, but I want to want to drink it also. So far, I can tolerate it in coffee, and I'll take it!

Great mushrooms supplement ⭐️
So I tired cogu recently and I really like it. I was new to a coffee alternatives/mushroom supplements. I mix it with lactose free milk and it tastes great! I love coffee, but this gives me the energy and not the crash! Way less sugar too! I would give this 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because I feel good after I drink it and not tired hours later. This is a great way to had more nutrients into my daily routine!

Not My Cup of Tea . . . er . . . Mushroom
I will disclaim this review by saying that people like what they like, and so the fact that I did not care for the flavor does not mean that this isn't a good alternative to coffee, have lots of nutritional value, etc. And maybe if I liked coffee, it would cover the taste. But, as it is, I only drink tea, and it didn't mix well with that or hot water, in my opinion.

Great for Iced coffee!
My introduction to mushroom coffee! I deeply appreciate that I can just make it iced and go, as opposed to the powder kind that often needs to be mixed in hot water first. The flavor is delish and earthy. I wish there were more servings in it, and that the caffeine content was higher per serving. Overall, I've enjoyed this stuff though!

Poor packaging
Poor packagingAfter two uses I refrigerated and could not open after that. No matter what I tried. It’s a glass bottle and very pricey to waste like that.

Looking for a mushroom drink with no coffee
I have just purchased my 3rd bottle and I love it. I have mixed it with Crio bru and my collagen with ice for a great drink. Add a little sugar free sweet cream and wow. As far as health benefits I have found that I over all feel better during my day. I don’t drag like I use to. I also have UC and it has helped with my bloating and I having regular movements. I truly recommend.

ogu - Concentrated Functional Mushroom & Adaptogen Blend
Love me some mushroom coffee for how it makes me feel, but I'm not a fan of how this one tastes. Concentrate, easy to use and dispense. I measured one teaspoon and used hot water without a sweetener and it was just a smidge too bitter for me. Your mileage may vary, it's worth it for the benefits of mushrooms, particularly since I'm not a fan of eating them directly.
