Makes a difference for my Brahma
12/18/24-- I ordered this because while moving, my last chicken ramp broke and I no longer had the means to recut a new board for my hen house. I had been temporarily using bricks as step up points for my girls to get up and down into the hen house. (My hen house has two doors and fenced runs on both sides, so they come through the shorter longer run, through the hen house and into the other taller run where I can fit, for laying and food). I started noticing my Dark Brahma, Belle, was being reluctant to come out of the inner taller run, where the bricks were, but she was fine running back into the coop up the other ramp when done foraging in the yard. She is definitely the heaviest of my 4 girls and I've had to give her bricks in the hen house so she can get on the roosts. My buff orphington and two golden commets weren't having any issues but they aren't as ground bound as my one Brahma. Surprisingly enough, Belle is the top hen (uncommon from my reading about sweet Brahmas) ever since my Easter egger died, so I found it odd that she wasn't joining Annie Yolkley (the buff-o, and her BFF) in the yard as often, but instead, lingering around the food and water inside the run. I checked her for injuries and even moved her outside of the run myself a few times to let her forage and didn't see any lethargy, limping or issues running around. Eventually I determined that the lack of the ramp was likely my heavy set girls issue and started looking for a new ramp, which led me to this purchase. It arrived swiftly. The directions for putting it together were simple and all you need is a Philips head screwdriver. I did have -some- issue snapping the pieces together, because the connections were so snug. I worried about breaking it but it held up great. If I needed to make it shorter it would be some grief getting the pieces taken apart, but there's no worry about it falling apart. It's also a very lightweight compared to my old wooden ramp of the same length. It definitely needs the little metal brackets on the edges to give it support and to screw it together. A Con, is that it has more flex than a wooden ramp, but as soon as I set it up and set the brace spikes underneath it for support, it solved much of the flex. I liked that if you need a longer ramp than this, you can order another set and make it longer to fit your needs and if you had more pieces, the spikes could be made longer too, if a second box of ramp pieces was purchased. It has just finished storming here, so my coop is muddy, but the ramp has held in place. Being plastic and in the shaded part of the run, it should last near indefinitely, as long as I don't accidentally step on it. It very much has labels to warn against that. It is only meant to handle the light weight of your birds. I wish the ramp had more texture to it on the raised sections, but I haven't seen any of my ladies slip on it so far, so I wouldn't call it an issue. I may purchase another of these in the future for my other ramp. It's unlikely that the other ramp with break, however cleaning this one with a hose is a breeze, and I certainly appreciate all the things in my run that just take a light rinse to neaten up. Chickens will leave you wondering how they managed to get that mess -everywhere- . It will also be very easy to sanitize in the future should I need to, and easy to remove if I have to move my coop and chicken runs again. All in all, solid product and more to praise than complain about. Thanks for the read and I hope the review helps a few lovely chicken owners out there. :)

Perfect for ducks!
Our ducks’ wooden coop ramp finally fell apart and I thought this would hold up better. I love it, they love it, it’s easy to hose off and won’t deteriorate under wet ducks the way wood ramps do. Easy to assemble, sturdy, well made and worth the cost. This will last, and the adjustability is a great feature.

Works ok except for the legs.
We purchased this ramp as a replacement for an old wooden one our ducks use for their little swimming pool. Working pretty good so far, but the swivel legs underneath won't stay in place. And the screw is too tiny for even the smallest socket we have. It just can't be tightened enough. We had to prop it up with bricks to get it to stay in place. Other than that, it goes together easily.

Okay but not wonderful
The legs immediately broke just putting them on. Other than that, it's fine and my chickens use it.

Adequate for our coop
Reduced to one star due to a Brhma chicken who is 13# breaking one of the plastic attachments when she stepped on it.. either not as sturdy or just fragile after getting cold. Unstable without full attachment. Orignal We have a fancy built coop that is super sturdy. It was a surprise to find this lovely ladder fit it perfect! Pros: It fit perfect in size, came with all necessary parts, and is in use shortly after delivery. Directions easy to understand. You will also need a rubber mallet to snap the joints together and place on the metal clips. You will also need a power drill/screwdriver to install. Estimated construction time was 30 minutes or less. Seems easy to clean Cons: I don't like plastic, but this is sturdy!

Helpful addition for easier access
This ramp makes it easier for chickens to get in and out of the coop, especially for those with foot issues or who don’t fly well. It feels sturdy and stable, and the adjustable length makes it adaptable to different setups. The material resists moisture and weather well, so it holds up in outdoor conditions. It’s a simple but very useful upgrade that keeps the flock moving safely and comfortably.
