Bought to go with an automatic litter box instead of buying refills. You do need to do some cleaning when a full litter refill is needed, but with the savings

This was worked so well and fit perfectly for the litter box. It was super easy to install and clean and was the same price as other versions but with the added bonus of extra litter!

We previously had a reusable tray for our PetSafe auto litter box that worked just fine, except it was plastic and it started to get stained. Therefore, we got some plastic liner bags (desigend specifically for these trays, and I highly recommend them for ease of clean up!). Easy, simple system.When we needed a second tray for an additional litter box, I decided to go with stainless steel and the price on this was great with the included litter. Unfortunately, the thickness does not seem to work with the liner, and it was not only a tight fit but the automatic rake would get caught up in the plastic. Tried it with both boxes just to verify, but same issue. Just a caveat. Once we removed the liner, it worked fine, but it is a little more work. Still, less than a litter box you have to clean every day yourself! Just wanted to add that caveat for anyone else who uses the plastic liners.

I love this ! I have the plastic version so when I got a second litter machine I opted for the steel this time. Easy clean up better than the plastic .

Meta pan is just what this house needed there is no longer a smell associated with my cat box and I can bleach it rinse it and air dry it, it’s perfect

While the convenience of simply throwing the cardboard bottom and replacing it with a brand new one sounds nice, in reality i prefer the metal for a few reasons. first, it’s much more economical — a one time purchase (with the exception of the occasional replacement as need be) vs buying new ones monthly. second, it is still very easy to clean and the cats’ waste does not stick, which is great. and third, it is much easier on the environment and reduces our carbon footprint. if you have the petsmart self cleaning litter box, i highly recommend this metal bottom over the cardboard.

Bought this to change out a plastic litter tray I bought several years ago. Hoping metal tray won't hold in smells and will last years and years.Time will tell but I am happy with it at this time.

We bought this with the hopes that a reusable tray would change the game with our PetSafe Automatic Litter Box. Unfortunately, it was a BIG disappointment! It’s even advertised to fit with the PetSafe brand litter box, and that is the specific reason why we bought it.The divider to store used litter is entirely too small. (Something I noticed when I first pulled it out and before we even tried to use it.) Used litter, and especially solid waste, is just kind of pushed to the edge of the main part of the tray and not actually past the divider so that it can be covered by the lid. This, of course, causes bad smell and unsightly buildup of solid waste. I opted to not share a picture, since it’s a bit gross to post images of that.I’ve tried every which way to make it work, but it doesn’t even do a good job on the first use. It’s just an all round disappointment. I’m honestly shocked and surprised as to why this has so many good reviews. I guess I’m going to just go back to the cardboard disposable trays sold by PetSafe themselves.
