Bought this for my 1996 Miata fully knowing it's not for the right car. I have some slack in the wire but it still works:) that is after some modifications. I had to unbend the inside the car pull mechanism because the cylinder part wouldn't fit and then squeeze it back again with some pliers. And I also had to tie the ball end of the wire into a knot to make it a tiny bit shorter so that the pull travel would be shorter. As for the slack I'm thinking I'll just hide it under the carpet in the trunk so it works out.
