Positive Pain Relief
My husband claims that the ingredients in these pads helps with his knee pain. It is so easy to apply and the thickness helps it to stay on your knees or any other area. They are good quality inn is 1% less than the prescription kind so it actually works. We always keep them handy because they are effective. Sometimes they don’t take the pain completely away, but it really eases the pain. They are worth the try.,

Works basically as well as prescription-strength patches
My previous medical provider prescribed me a box of 5% lidocaine patches, which gave me decent relief for my episodes of lower back/SI joint muscle pain. Since I no longer have that provider or the same insurance coverage, I sought these out as an over-the-counter alternative. These are the same size and seem to work almost as well as the stronger prescription ones -- with a few caveats. First, these patches are a little flimsier than the prescription ones, so they're harder to apply. They have a tendency to fold over on themselves while you're putting them on and seem to come loose a little more readily. Second, the prescription ones seemed to be over-saturated with lidocaine gel -- as in it was dripping off the patch and kind of messy. These have less gel and are therefore less messy, but maybe also somewhat reduced effects as a result. Finally, it's important to note that both the Rx strength ones and these take some time to work. It's not immediate relief. It's more like ~2-3 hours after you apply them, there's a noticeable reduction in the intensity of pain. Definitely not 100% pain relief, but still helpful as part of your overall "arsenal" of approaches. I've found that 2 patches placed side-by-side on my lower back work best for SI joint issues.

Patches Help With The Pain
My husband sufferers from bad back pain. He has tried different things including muscle relaxers but nothing really helps him. The Lidocaine patches that our doctor recommended is the only thing that helps relieve the pain. I highly recommend these patches.

not strong enough in numbing and stickiness
the gel feels nice but the numbing isn't that strong for my discomforts. using on back and any flat area n it's fine but if you were to use it on your arm/elbow any bending of the joint will make it go loose cause the gel doesn't have strong adhesive properties and cutting it up didn't help because less surface area also seem to make it not stay on as well.
